Indore GPO Releases Picture Postcards in Honor of Senior Citizens

On the occasion of Philatelic Day, as part of the National Postal Week, a picture postcard was released at the Philately Bureau, Indore GPO, by Chief Guest Mrs. Preeti Agarwal, Postmaster General, Indore Circle. A symposium was also organized with all philatelists.

On this occasion, Mrs. Preeti Agarwal stated that the department periodically issues picture postcards to commemorate special events, commemorations, and special occasions. This year, the eighth picture postcard was released under the "Senior Citizens Savings Scheme." Mrs. Preeti Agarwal explained that the Postal Department has implemented various savings schemes to ensure the financial security of senior citizens, investing in which can help senior citizens secure themselves financially at this crucial stage of their lives. Social worker Mohan Agarwal, who was present at the event, said in his address that he has been writing letters regularly for years, and that messages written in letters remain alive in the memory for a long time, whereas messages sent through modern communication mediums like WhatsApp are only momentary.

On this occasion, all the officers of the Regional Office, Indore, employees of Indore GPO and all the senior philatelists of the city were present. All the philatelists present at the seminar expressed satisfaction with the services being provided by Philately Bureau, Indore GPO.
