Rekha Gupta Government Fulfills Another BJP Poll Promise by Waiving Penalties on Water Bills as a Diwali Gift – Virendra Sachdeva

The Kejriwal government never brought any solution to the issue of disputed water bills from the Jal Board, but the BJP’s Mrs. Rekha Gupta government has opened the way to resolve the long-standing problems of millions of consumers through strong will power – Virendra Sachdeva

Delhi BJP President Mr. Virendra Sachdeva stated that this year’s Sharadiya Navratri has arrived as a historic one for the people of Delhi.

On the first day of Navratri, Delhiites received the gift of GST relief, which made goods cheaper for consumers and created opportunities for traders to expand their businesses.

Immediately after that, one route of the interstate DTC bus service — discontinued by the former Arvind Kejriwal government — was restarted, and expansion of the service is expected soon.

Yesterday, on the fourth day of Navratri, when Water Minister Mr. Parvesh Sahib Singh announced the decision of Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta’s government to waive the penalties on water bills, it brought smiles to the faces of millions of consumers across Delhi.

Mr. Virendra Sachdeva said that under the guidance of the Chief Minister, the Water Minister’s announcement of 100% penalty waiver has come as an Diwali gift. At the same time, this also fulfills yet another promise made in the BJP’s manifesto released just before the 2025 Assembly Elections.

Mr. Virendra Sachdeva further stated that the former Arvind Kejriwal government made several announcements in the past but never brought any plan to resolve the disputed bills of the Jal Board. In contrast, the BJP-led Rekha Gupta government, working with determination, has paved the way to resolve the issues of millions of consumers.
