Delhi Police Conducts Massive Crackdown on Gangs

In a coordinated, large-scale operation on the night September 18, 2025, the Delhi Police conducted raids to dismantle organized crime and "break the backbone of gangsterism" in Delhi & NCR. The raids were executed at 58 locations across Delhi, Sonipat, Sampla, Jhajjar, Rohtak, and Bahadurgarh.
A total of 820 police personnel participated in the operation. This included 39 teams with 500 personnel from the Outer North District and 19 teams with 320 personnel from the Rohini District. The teams were led by officers of the Inspector rank and ACP/Ops from both districts, under the supervision of DCPs Hareshwar Swami and Rajeev Ranjan, and the overall oversight of Jt.
Commissioner of Police Vijay Singh.
Arrests and Apprehensions
The operation resulted in the apprehension of 36 suspects, with 6 individuals officially arrested. The arrested individuals are linked to several gangs, including Kala Jathedi, Jitender@ Gogi, Neeraj Bawana, Rajesh Bawana, Tillu Tajpuriya, Kapil Sangwan @ Nandu, and Nettu Dabodha.
A total of 7 cases were registered under the Arms Act. The arrested individuals include:
• Shaktiman: Son of Rakesh, 34 years old, from Khera Khurd,
Delhi.
• Vedpal: Son of Attar Singh, 55 years old, from Tikri Khurd, Narela, Delhi.
• Prem Singh Sehrawat: Son of Naidar, 67 years old, fram
Bawana, Delhi.
• Naveen: Son of Hariniwas, 30 years old, from Karala, Delhi.
• Ankit @ Vishal: Son of Rakesh, 25 years old, from Karala, Delhi.
 
• Hariom@ Ankit@ Akki: Son of Rajesh, 25 years old, from Karala, Delhi.
Seizures and Recoveries
The police recovered a significant amount of cash, valuables, and weapons during the raids. The seized items include:
• Cash and Valuables:
• Cash amounting to Rs. 49.60 lacs
• 1.36 kg of gold
• 14.60 kg of silver ver
• Vehicles and Electronics:
• One bullet-proof Mahindra Scorpio SUV
• One motorcycle
• 26 mobile phones
• One laptop aptop
• Weapons and Ammunition:
• Seven pistols and revolvers
• One buttondar knife
• One magazine
• 40 live cartridges
• Three bore brushes and two cleaning rods.
All seized mobile phones and other electronic devices have been taken for forensic analysis.
