ACCUSED WANTED IN FIRING CUM ATTEMPT TO MURDER CASE OF PS PAHARGANJ ARRESTED

With the objective of controlling crime and ensuring offenders are brought to justice, NR-I, Crime Branch has intensified surveillance and investigative efforts. Lists of absconding criminals involved in heinous crimes were prepared and continuous manual as well as technical intelligence was deployed to trace and apprehend them.

INFORMATION & TEAM:

On the basis of specific information received by ASI Sumit, HC Amit Kumar, HC Narender, and Ct. Surender, with the technical assistance of ASI Ajay Thakran, it was revealed that accused Satender Kumar @ Sikander @ Kanta, wanted in an attempt to murder by gunfire for supremacy in the area of Paharganj, could be traced.

This related to FIR No. 246/25 dated 15.04.25 u/s 109(1)/3(5) BNS & 25 Arms Act, PS Pahar Ganj.

A dedicated team comprising ASI Sumit, HC Amit Kumar, HC Narender, and Ct. Surender was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Pankaj Thakran and under the supervision of ACP Sh. Ashok Sharma, NR-I, Crime Branch. Acting on the input, the team successfully apprehended the accused, later identified as:

Satender Kumar @ Sikander @ Kanta s/o Kanta Prashad Yadav r/o Kishan Ganj, Delhi.

INCIDENT OF FIR NO. 246/25 PS PAHAR GANJ & BACKGROUND:

The case pertains to one of the most dreaded criminals of the Karol Bagh–Paharganj belt, Abhishek Rathi @ Kala Baccha.

On the night of 14/15.04.2025, Abhishek Rathi @ Kala Baccha along with his close associate Satender @ Sikander @ Kanta who is also previously involved in heinous cases like Murders etc. attacked rival group member Aman s/o Ravinder Kumar. Both accused were armed. Abhishek Rathi fired at Aman with the intention to kill, while Satender @ Kanta facilitated the attack by riding the motorcycle.

Following the incident, Abhishek Rathi was arrested earlier by the team of Insp. Pankaj Thakran, but Satender @ Skander @ Kanta had remained absconding.

Now, with persistent efforts and coordinated action, accused Satender Kumar @ Sikander @ Kanta has also been arrested by NR-I, Crime Branch, thus neutralizing a significant threat to public peace and safety.
