A dedicated joint team of AATS &PS Keshav Puramhas successfully solved a case of servant theft with the arrest of the accused, identified as Narender Sharma S/o Siya Ram Sharma R/o- Bhamanvas Kheta, Mahender Garh, Haryana, age- 27 Years. During the investigation, the team recovered stolen cash amounting to Rs. 55,00,000/-. The accused has been found to be a first-time offender. His motive for committing the theft appears to be the lure of easy money and a desire to sustain a lavish lifestyle.
 
BRIEF FACTS & INCIDENT DETAILS: -
 
On 27.07.2025, a complaint has been lodged at PS Keshav Puram by complainant Nand Kishore R/o Lawrence Road, Delhi wherein he stated that he is engaged in property dealing and operates his office at the same address. A boy named Narender Sharma S/o Siya Ram Sharma, R/o Village Bhamanvas Kheta, near Behror, Haryana, was working with him as delivery boy.
On 24.07.2025, the complainant handed over a cash amount of Rs. 55,00,000/- (fifty-five lakh rupees) to Narender Sharma, which was to be delivered to a party regarding sale & purchase of a property. Alleged Narender put the cash in a bag and left his office.
Later, when the complainant called Narender to confirm whether the payment had been delivered to his party, Narender informed him that the concerned party had not yet arrived at that location. After some time, when the complainant tried to contact him again, Narender's mobile phone was found to be switched off. Despite multiple attempts, the complainant could not reach him.
It was then realized that Narender Sharma had absconded with the cash amount of Rs. 55,00,000/-.
In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 440/2025 U/s 316(4)/317(2) of the BNS was registered at PS Keshav Puram, and investigation was taken up.
TEAM ANDINVESTIGATION: -
 
Considering the gravity of the offence and the serious nature of the incident, a dedicated joint team comprising of SI Ravi Saini, ASI Vinod, HC Paramjeet, HC Parvinder, HC Parveen, HC Kamal Kant, Ct. Shubham, Ct. Karan, and Ct. Om Parkash from AATS, and ASI Satveer, HC Mohit, HC Ramesh, and W/Ct Sapna from PSKeshav Puram, was constituted under the leadership of Sh. Satender Kumar, SHO/Keshav Puram, and Insp. Jeetendra Tiwari, I/C AATS, and close supervision of Sh. Ranjeet Dhaka, ACP/Operations, and Sh. Akash Rawat, ACP/Ashok Vihar.
 
During the course of investigation, the team conducted an extensive analysis of CCTV footage from the vicinity of the crime scene and launched multiple search operations in Delhi, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh to trace the accused. In addition, the team also mounted technical surveillance and analyzed over 200 CDRs and IPDRs to gather technical and manual information. The team conducted raids across multiple locations in Delhi, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh, but the accused kept frequently changing his hideouts to avoid himself from clutches of police.
Finally, after relentless efforts, the team successfully zeroed in on the accused in Delhi, and apprehended Narender Sharma (age- 27 years) S/o Siya Ram Sharma, R/o Bhamanvas Kheta, Mahender Garh, Haryana, along with the entire stolen cash amounting to Rs. 55 lakh (100% recovery).
INTERROGATION : -
During sustained interrogation, the accused Narender Sharma broke down and confessed to his involvement in the crime. He revealed that he was lured by the opportunity to earn easy money and harbored a strong desire to lead a lavish lifestyle beyond his means.
He admitted that he had been observing the financial transactions handled at the office and, after gaining the trust of his employer, decided to execute the theft when he was given the responsibility to deliver a large sum of money. The accused further disclosed that he had no prior criminal background and had acted alone, driven purely by n. He had planned to remain underground by frequently changing locations and avoiding digital footprints to escape arrest.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED: -
 
Accused Narender Sharma (age- 27 years) was born and brought up in Mahender Garh, Haryana. His family consists of his wife, two children, and his parents. He studied up to 9th grade. He revealed that he started work with complainant in 2020. In the year 2023, he left his job with complaints due to family issues. In March 2025, when he was in extreme need of money, he again started work with complainant, and planned to steal a handsome money. He had been observing the financial transactions handled at the office and, after gaining the trust of his employer, decided to execute the theft when he was given the responsibility to deliver a large sum of money, i.e. 55 lakh rupees, but he was nabbed by the police with stolen cash.
 
RECOVERY FROM ACCUSED: -

Further investigation of the case is in progress.
