TEAM OF PS MODEL TOWN CRACKED KNIFE ATTACK CASE ON NORTH-EASTERN STUDENTS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF INCIDENT

The team of PS Model Town has successfully solved a sensitive case of  assault involving two students belonging from North-@East, who were attacked with a knife in the early morning hours of 31st July 2025 in the Vijay Nagar Double Storey area of North Delhi. Acting swiftly, the police team has  arrested two accused persons namely, Krishna S/o Sanjay Babu R/o Mohalla Khatik, Gurmandi, Delhi and (2) Krishna Kashyap S/o Mukesh R/o Rajpura, Gurmandi, Delhi and apprehended one juvenile within 24 hours of the incident and also recovered the weapon of offence i.e., a blood stained knife used in the crime.
 
BRIEF FACTS OF INCIDENT:
 
On the morning of 31st July 2025, an information was received at PS Model Town vide DD No. 23A regarding the admission of two injured youths at Bara Hindu Rao Hospital. Acting promptly, the police staff reached the hospital and on enquiry, it was found that two boys from Manipur — Zerry S/o Sh. Zilam Thang, residing at Christian Colony, Patel Chest, Delhi, and Shepherd S/o Sh. Jangkhongam Haokip, residing in Vijay Nagar Double Storey — had been admitted with stab injuries. Injured Zerry stated that around 04:00 AM, while he and his friend Shepherd were purchasing water from a shop in Vijay Nagar Double Storey, four unknown boys on two motorcycles approached them and behaved rudely. A heated altercation ensued, during which one of the boys pulled out a knife and stabbed Zerry in the abdomen and Shepherd in the left buttock. Their friend, Paoboi, who was present at the scene, immediately rushed both victims to the hospital, while the accused persons fled from the spot.
In view of the serious nature of the incident, a case was registered at PS Model Town vide FIR No. 405/2025 dated 31.07.2025 U/s 109(1)/3(5) BNS and a thorough investigation was taken up on priority.
 
TEAM FORMATION & FIELD OPERATION:
 
Realizing the gravity of the offence, and communal sensitivity of the incident, a special investigative team was constituted under the overall supervision of Sh. Suresh Chander, ACP/Model Town and supervision of Inspr. Ashok Giri, SHO/Model Town, with field operations led by Insp. Somil Sharma. The operational team comprised SI Sandeep, SI Chetan, ASI Jagat, HC Vinod, HC Satinder, HC Shakti, Ct. Shubham, Ct. Ramesh and W/Ct Parmeshwari, who were allotted specific tasks and promptly deputed to trace the fleeing assailants.
 
The team examined the victims in detail and CCTV footage from all surrounding establishments was collected and analysed to trace the movements and possible escape routes of the persons. Local intelligence networks were activated, and call detail records (CDRs) of suspected individuals were analysed. Based on this intelligence input from local sources and CDR analysis, a well-coordinated raid was conducted, which led to the arrest of the accused persons namely Krishna S/o Sanjay Babu R/o Mohalla Khatik, Gurmandi, Delhi and (2) Krishna Kashyap S/o Mukesh R/o Rajpura, Gurmandi, Delhi and apprehension of  one juvenile. 
 
During sustained and methodical interrogation, they confessed their involvement in the incident. On their instance, weapon of offence i.e., a blood-stained knife was recovered.
 
The identity of the fourth assailant is being verified, and efforts are underway to arrest him at the earliest.

1. Krishna S/o Sanjay Babu R/o Mohalla Khatik, Gurmandi, Delhi. Previous Involvement:- Nil.
2. Krishna Kashyap S/o Mukesh R/o Rajpura, Gurmandi, Delhi. Previous Involvement:- Nil.
3. CCL.
RECOVERY:
During investigation, the weapon of offence— a blood-stained knife used in the attack, was recovered, duly seized and preserved as case property.
 
Investigation of the case is in progress.
