DESPERATE INTER-STATE CRIMINAL AND FUGITIVE IN A SENSATIONAL BURGLARY OF JAIPUR, ARRESTED BY SOUTHERN RANGE

INTRODUCTION

In a significant breakthrough, the Southern Range (SR)/Crime Branch, Malviya Nagar, has arrested Sanjay Pahadiya, aged 40 years, resident of Sangam Vihar, Delhi. He was a wanted absconder in a burglary case from 2022 registered at PS Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur.

The accused had evaded arrest for over three years. He was involved in the case along with his associate Md. Javed @ Ganju, and a reward of ?10,000 had been declared for information leading to his arrest by Jaipur Police.

CASE BACKGROUND

On the night of 08/09 March 2022, a major burglary occurred in the Jawahar Nagar area of Jaipur. Valuables including gold and diamond jewellery, cash, and foreign currency worth approximately ?1 crore were stolen. During the investigation, a car used in the crime was traced to Sanjay Pahadiya. Despite extensive efforts, the accused managed to evade arrest, prompting the Jaipur Police to declare a reward.

OPERATION DETAILS

Under the supervision of ACP Girish Kaushik, a dedicated team of the Crime Branch led by Inspector Ajit Kumar, comprising SI Sudhir Yadav, ASIs Ram Kishan, Vijender, Sandeep, HC Lalit, W/HC Jyoti Yadav and W/Ct. Mamta, was assigned to track the absconder. After detailed analysis and collection of intelligence in the Delhi NCR region, the accused was apprehended on 10.06.2025 from Sangam Vihar, Delhi.

INTERROGATION FINDINGS

During interrogation, Sanjay Pahadiya revealed a long criminal history dating back to 2004. A resident of Nihal Vihar, Nangloi, and a school dropout (Class 7), he began his criminal activities with associates Jitender @ Golu and Md. Javed @ Ganju.

He confessed to his role in the Jaipur burglary, confirming the involvement of Md. Javed @ Ganju, a known associate of the Rohit Chaudhary gang and a notorious criminal involved in murder, attempt to murder, robbery, extortion, and more. Sanjay further admitted that the vehicle used in the burglary had been sold after the crime.

CRIMINAL HISTORY

Sanjay Pahadiya has been linked to over 70 criminal cases across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan, primarily related to burglary and Arms Act violations. He has been arrested and concerned officials have been informed.
