New Delhi, June 10: On the completion of 11 successful years of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s “Sankalp se Siddhi” (Resolution to Achievement) journey, today Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta and Delhi BJP President Mr. Virendra Sachdeva addressed a joint press conference, stating that this is the first government in the history of India that enjoys the trust of every citizen with the belief that “Modi hai to mumkin hai” — meaning this government can make even the impossible possible.

The press conference was organized by BJP Media Head Mr. Praveen Shankar Kapoor, in the presence of MP Mrs. Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Delhi coordinator of the Sankalp se Siddhi program.

In his address, Delhi BJP President Mr. Virendra Sachdeva said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given the country a new governance mantra — Reform, Perform, and Transform — which is opening new dimensions of development in New India.

Mr. Virendra Sachdeva said that the Modi government, working with social sensitivity and firm determination, has become the government responsible for unprecedented scientific progress, as evidenced by the Chandrayaan mission; economic growth, with India now among the world’s top five economies; being sensitive to the dignity of the poor and women, whether by providing toilets without applications or free ration; a strong national defense system, whose latest proof the world saw in May 2025 when India struck inside Pakistan; and growth in sports and culture, which is clearly visible in international sports and in cities like Ayodhya, Kashi, and Ujjain — all of which have become the new identity of the government today.

The Delhi BJP President said that Prime Minister Modi’s monthly program “Mann Ki Baat” has perhaps become the world’s most popular and longest-running public discussion program focused on the nation’s progress. At the same time, the people’s belief in the slogan “Modi Hai To Mumkin Hai” is transforming every impossible social mindset. In today’s India, the common citizen links the Prime Minister’s “Mann Ki Baat” with national honor on issues like cleanliness, development, science, and national security.

Mr. Virendra Sachdeva said that while the Modi government took the significant decision to revoke Article 370 in the national interest, it also took major decisions like introducing the new Wakf law and banning triple talaq to improve the lives of minorities, especially women.

Modi Ji’s “Mann Ki Baat” is no longer limited to India alone; today, the call of Modi Ji’s New India resolution is ringing throughout the country, and hosting the G-20 summit in India was its pinnacle.

The Modi government brought relief to Hindus persecuted in Islamic countries like Pakistan by introducing the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act), and by implementing 33% reservation for women, it showed respect for women’s dignity.

Mr. Virendra Sachdeva said that while Modi Ji’s government has pursued positive politics by launching hundreds of development schemes over the past 11 years, the recently defeated Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi has engaged in negative politics by blocking the implementation of central government schemes in Delhi.

Despite all of Kejriwal’s negativity, it is a different matter that today the roads built by the Modi government or the Fame electric buses are all lifelines for Delhi. During the COVID period, when Kejriwal left Delhi helpless, the Modi government took care of Delhi.

Apart from this, by creating Central Vista, Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhumi, War Memorial, Kartavyapath, Prime Minister Museum, Rapid Rail, Tunnel Road, and an extensive highway network, we have made Delhiites proud.

The Delhi BJP President said that the recently elected BJP government led by Mrs. Rekha Gupta in Delhi has completed 100 successful days of good governance and rapid implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, opening the doors for Delhi residents to benefit from all central government schemes. Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta will elaborate on this in detail to the people of Delhi.

Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta said that the condition in which the people of Delhi spent their 11 years was quite distressing in itself. During the COVID period, the then Delhi government issued death certificates to only 97 people, whereas everyone saw how the crematoriums across Delhi were overflowing. It is regrettable that the Delhi government did not even record those deaths, and if anyone helped at that time, it was the central Modi government that extended a helping hand.

Mrs. Rekha Gupta said that although the state government has health infrastructure in Delhi, the health infrastructure of the central government is much larger. Today, AIIMS alone conducts around 5 lakh outpatient department (OPD) visits annually linked to Delhi, which reduces the burden on Delhi hospitals. Corruption in health was rampant during the previous government, which has now been stopped, and 1500 nurses have been permanently appointed to fill the infrastructural gaps caused by staff shortages. Not only that, she expressed happiness that since the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, over 1000 people have benefited from it.

Work on building 1100 new Arogya Kendras (Health Centers) had started, of which 34 are nearly completed, and their inauguration is scheduled for June 14.

She stated that the central government has gifted Delhi residents road projects worth ?1.25 lakh crore. In the first phase, road projects worth ?35,000 crore, the second phase is nearing completion with projects worth ?64,000 crore, and ?24,000 crore worth of projects will be carried out in the third phase. This network of roads is set to become the lifeline of Delhi.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that the entire contribution to the metro comes from the central government, and without the rapidly running metro in Delhi, the city could not function as it does. Additionally, the central government’s colleges and schools in Delhi are a major achievement in the education sector. The previous government had done nothing to advance the future of Delhi’s children, but today, from KG to PG, efforts are continuously underway to provide the best infrastructure and education.

Mrs. Gupta said that in Delhi, nearly 3 lakh pregnant women have been given ?5,000 per month under the Prime Minister Matru Vandana Yojana, and under the Ujjwala Yojana, approximately 2.5 lakh women have been provided free gas cylinders.

The Chief Minister said that under the Mudra Yojana, loans worth ?20,000 crore have been distributed to the people of Delhi by the central government, and under the Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, the central government is also providing free ration to 75 lakh Delhi residents.

She stated that the regularization of 1,731 colonies is a major achievement, and under the Delhi Gramodaya Yojana, a plan worth ?960 crore has been allocated for the development of Delhi’s rural areas. The central government has also given an honorarium of ?6,000 to 12,000 farmers of Delhi and loans worth ?300 crore to 2 lakh street vendors.

As soon as the government was formed in Delhi, the first challenges we faced were cleaning the Yamuna river, reducing pollution, and removing the garbage heaps. To clean the Yamuna and improve the water-sewer system, we allocated ?9,000 crore in funds, and today the results are visible as work is progressing rapidly. Approval has been given for laying new sewer lines, new water lines, and making the system decentralized. Soon, a noticeable difference will be seen in the Yamuna’s water quality. We are reviving 38 old sewage treatment plants (STPs), of which 16 have already been revived.

The Kejriwal government kept making false promises about removing the garbage heaps. Today, the public has removed them from Delhi. The three garbage heaps, which were 60-65 meters high, have been reduced to 30-40 meters, and by March 2026, the Okhla garbage heap will be completely eliminated. The disposal of the others will also be completed on time.
