New Delhi, May 22:
On the occasion of Vaishya Agrawal Samaj Foundation Day, a grand program was organized today at Bharat Mandapam by the Delhi-Haryana Agrawal Maitri Sangh. The event was graced by Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini, Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva, and senior RSS Pracharak Shri Pawan Jindal.

On this occasion, revered Pandit Vijay Shankar Mehta delivered a discourse on the life and values of Maharaja Agrasen. Thousands of attendees appreciated the initiative taken by the office-bearers of Agrawal Maitri Sangh.

Prominent Agrawal community members such as Shri S.S. Agrawal, Shri Ashok Agrawal, Shri Naresh Airan, and Shri Sunil Mittal were present. Shri Naresh Airan conducted the stage proceedings.

Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta welcomed all members of the Agrawal community to Delhi on this special occasion. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to the BJP leadership, especially Virendra Sachdeva, for giving Delhi its first woman Chief Minister from the Agrawal community.

She shared that she was the first woman from the Agrawal community in Delhi to contest and win student union elections. Emphasizing the importance of women’s empowerment, she said that if society resolves to support its daughters, they will be seen occupying leadership positions across government sectors.

She also noted that while previous governments criticized the Haryana administration, this is the first time the Haryana government has itself committed to providing full support in the future.

Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini highlighted that Maharaja Agrasen initiated a new socio-economic and political order of democratic governance, which remains highly relevant today. He emphasized that governance should be based on equality, cooperation, and compassion, without discrimination or violence. These principles are mirrored in Prime Minister Modi’s guiding philosophy of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.

He said it is a matter of pride that members of the Agrawal community from Delhi and Haryana are present today. He appreciated the efforts of the Delhi BJP President in bringing the BJP back to power in Delhi after 27 years and acknowledged the contributions of the Agrawal community. He added that the event is not just a celebration, but a moment to honor the community’s heritage and culture, which extends far beyond trade and commerce to reflect India’s traditions.

Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva said that remembering or worshiping Maharaja Agrasen is akin to remembering Lord Ram. The Agrawal community embodies the spirit of justice, ethics, and service. He praised the community’s efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, calling it a symbol of resilience. He remarked that whenever there is a temple to be built or a social initiative to support, Agrawal community members are the first to step forward.

He announced that this was the first year of this event and that from next year, it will be expanded significantly, with the next celebration to be held in Mumbai. He urged that wherever in the country Agrawal community members reside, they should celebrate this event as a festival.
