Today was a historic day for the Gwalior-Chambal division as well as the whole of Madhya Pradesh, when after the Madhav National Park in Shivpuri was declared as 'Madhav Tiger Reserve' on the birth anniversary of late Madhavrao Scindia, the Chief Minister of the state Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia formally inaugurated it. On this occasion, 1 tiger (female) was released here by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Scindia.

Let us tell you that Union Minister Scindia was trying for the last 4 years to rehabilitate tigers in Madhav National Park in Shivpuri and make it a National Tiger Reserve. Earlier in 2023, he brought 3 tigers here and then today on the birth anniversary of his father Madhavrao Scindia, another tigress was brought here and it got the status of Tiger Reserve.

- Campaign started in August 2021: Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia met the then Union Minister of Labor and Environment Bhupendra Yadav in August 2021 with the aim of implementing the resettlement of tigers in Madhav National Park and discussed the plan in detail, after which the entire park was inspected.

- Tiger roar was heard after 27 years on 10 March 2023: 27 years later, on this day in 2023, the roar of 3 tigers was heard here. When 2 tigresses and a tiger were brought here with the efforts of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. On 6 October 2023, Union Minister Scindia performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the work of the 13.5 km long and costly 13.32 crore boundary wall of Madhav National Park for the conservation of wild animals. This boundary wall was completed today and it was inaugurated today.

- Floating Weed Collector Boat inaugurated for upgradation and cleaning of Sankhya Sagar reservoir located in Madhav National Park, Shivpuri, Tiger Reserve: Scindia inaugurated the Floating Weed Collector Boat for the elimination of water hyacinth at a cost of Rs 1.2 crore and also started a new interpretation center for the park.

- Scindia keeps giving gifts continuously, new facilities were established in January: Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia gave many gifts in the park in the month of January. Scindia has also arranged 2 safari vehicles for safari here at a cost of 24 lakhs. Along with this, for the convenience of tourists, along with the introduction of souvenir shop and cafeteria, the facility of online booking for visiting Madhav Tiger Reserve has also been started. Scindia also inaugurated the recent renovation of the region's historical heritage George Castle Kothi.

The 9th tiger reserve of the state and the 58th tiger reserve of the country. This park is spread over an area of ??130 square kilometers. In the notification issued by the Central Government last Friday, it was told that now Madhav Tiger Reserve will be the 9th tiger reserve of the state and the 58th tiger reserve of the country. Shivpuri has got this historic gift due to the efforts of Scindia.
