Keeping in view of Holi (Dhulendi) celebration on 14th March 2025,

The Delhi Traffic Police has made elaborate traffic police arrangements to ensure the safety of pedestrians and motorists on the roads and check the incidents of drunken driving, triple riding, driving by minors, without helmet, performing stunts on two-wheelers, etc. 84 Special drunken checking teams with alcometer and 40 joint checking teams of Traffic Police and Local Police were deployed at major intersections, drunken points, and vulnerable points for the Holi celebration to detect and prosecute traffic violations. These Special Traffic Police checking teams were stationed on various roads and strategic locations/intersections all over Delhi to check drunken driving etc. Various teams so deployed have prosecuted the traffic rules violators from 8.00 AM to
12.00 night as under: -
1. Drunken Driving-1213
2. Triple Riding- 573
3. Without Helmet-2376
4. Tinted Glass-97
5. Others-2971
6. Total-7230
The general public is advised to obey traffic rules, specifically the following:
• Not to drink and drive.
• Observe the prescribed speed limits.
• Obey traffic signals.
• Not to indulge in racing or competition with other vehicles.
• Two-wheeler riders and pillion riders should wear helmets and avoid triple riding.
• Not to indulge in reckless, dangerous, or zig-zag driving.
• Not to allow minors or unauthorized persons to drive your vehicle.
• Not to indulge in performing stunts on two-wheelers.
