Women personalities of the city will get Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Award

On the foundation day of Madhya Pradesh Thalassemia Welfare Society, people will be made aware about Thalassemia on 9 February

Indore. With the aim of making people aware about Thalassemia and ensuring better treatment for them, Madhya Pradesh Thalassemia Welfare Society has organized an awareness and felicitation program on Sunday, 9 February in the Press Club auditorium.

State President of Madhya Pradesh Thalassemia Welfare Society Chandrashekhar Sharma and Secretary Ms. Vandana Sharma said that on this occasion, Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Award will also be given to six women. The program will be inaugurated by MLA and former minister Mahendra Hardia. MLA of Assembly 3 Golu Shukla and BJP media in-charge Deepak Tinu Jain will participate as the chief guest. Also, social workers Tikamchand Garg and Rajesh Garg will be special guests. The program will be presided over by Principal Tongya. Senior doctor Prachi Chaudhary and cancer specialist Dr. SS Nair will address the seminar on the topic of Thalassemia Blood Disorder and Bone Marrow Transplant.

These women will be honoured with Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Award

In a programme organised at Press Club, six women of the city who have made a significant contribution in the field of health and social service will be honoured with Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Award. In which social worker Mrs. Sangeeta Garg, Mrs. Ranjana Salve, bone marrow transplant specialist Dr. Prachi Chaudhary, Mrs. Mamta Raghuvanshi, Mrs. Pushpa Kala Jain, Mrs. Chanchal Salaria who works for disabled children will be awarded Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Award by the guests.

Will release the year-long programme of Thalassemia

In the programme, President Chandrashekhar Sharma will release the annual programme of Thalassemia Society. He will also tell in detail about the camps and awareness programmes to be held throughout the year and information related to blood bank and other units. It is worth mentioning that for the last 32 years, Madhya Pradesh Thalassemia Welfare Society has been providing treatment, medicines, injections etc. to the suffering children and making them aware.
