Pride for the people of MP, inspiration for other states: Vivek Tankha

Mumbai. With an aim to promote the cultural, social and economic identity of Madhya Pradesh, the Mumbai branch of Madhya Pradesh Foundation, New Delhi was launched on Sunday at the Mumbai Cricket Association Recreation Center in BKC here.

Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha said, 'The primary objective of the Foundation is to ensure that Madhya Pradesh has a unique identity that reflects its values, culture and potential. The Foundation aims to expand its reach by organizing more and more programs and promoting partnerships for disaster relief, education and cultural preservation. We invite everyone to celebrate the spirit of Madhya Pradesh and contribute to its development.'

MP Tankha said, 'The Foundation aims to promote not only the traditional art, culture and language of the state, but also to contribute to social service, education and economic development. Madhya Pradesh Foundation symbolizes a wonderful confluence of unity, service and culture. This is not only a matter of pride for the people of the state, but also an inspiration for other states.'

Vivek Tankha said, 'I want to thank Dainik Bhaskar MD Kailash Agarwal, Group Editor Prakash Dubey and Vice President Vidyapati Upadhyay for organizing such a dignified program. Dainik Bhaskar has been supporting Madhya Pradesh Foundation since the beginning.'

Foundation General Secretary Dr. Harish Bhalla, who came to the event for a while from the hospital despite being unwell, told that years ago in New Delhi, he, Dr. Ved Pratap Vaidik, Jhamkalal Khariwal, Chetan Kashyap and some senior journalists together formed Malwa Club. A few years ago, it was expanded and converted into Madhya Pradesh Foundation. He is proud that senior advocate and MP Vivek Tankha gave this organization new heights with his visionary approach. Many senior and enlightened people from Madhya Pradesh's acting, music, journalism, industry, social sector were present in the program.

Screening of documentary on 'Vivek Tankha'

On this occasion, the documentary 'Renaissance Man: Life and Times of Vivek Tankha' based on the life journey of social worker and MP Vivek Krishna Tankha was screened. This documentary shows that Vivek Tankha has done many important works for the social and cultural upliftment of Madhya Pradesh as a lawyer, social worker and MP. His major works include contribution to the relief package of Rs 75,000 crore for farmers in 2007, organizing cultural programs promoting art and traditions and social welfare initiatives for old age homes and special children.

Siddharth President, Palak General Secretary: Ratlam musician Siddharth Chetan Kashyap was elected President of Mumbai branch, Palak Bhalla Ahuja as General Secretary and Advocate Sandeep Aole as Treasurer. In the program, Foundation President Vivek Tankha welcomed the three officials and expressed hope that the Mumbai team will organize better programs by uniting the Mumbai residents of Madhya Pradesh. State Press Club Madhya Pradesh President Praveen Kumar Khariwal also participated in the program. Dainik Bhaskar Vice President Vidyapati Upadhyay welcomed all the invitees and expressed his gratitude in the end.
