ONE PROCLAIMED OFFENDER WANTED IN A SENSATIONAL ATTEMPT TO MURDER CASE OF PS NIHAL VIHAR ARRESTED BY WR-II, CRIME BRANCH

The accused was declared a proclaimed offender in 2023 by the Hon’ble Court.

INTRODUCTION:

A team from WR-II/Crime Branch has apprehended a notorious fugitive criminal, Subham Kashyap, S/o Kallu, who proclaimed offender in an attempt-to-murder case involving Pardhuman, R/o Kamruddin Nagar, Delhi, 27 year, accused originally from Village Ghevra, Jhanda Chowk, Delhi, had previously been arrested and released on bail. However, he failed to appear before the trial court in Case FIR No. 433/19, U/s 307/341/506 IPC, PS Nihal Vihar. As a result, the Hon’ble Court of ASJ West Tis Hazari Courts declared him a proclaimed offender on 12.12.2023.

BRIEF FACTS OF THE INCIDENT:

On the basis of a complaint by the victim, Sh. Pardhuman, r/o Kamruddin Nagar, it was alleged that accused Shubham had attacked and stabbed him multiple times in the chest with a knife. The victim was rushed to Sonia Hospital, Nangloi, Delhi, and case FIR No.: 433/19, 01.07.2019, U/s 307/341/506 IPC, PS Nihal Vihar, Delhi was registered, while the accused fled the scene.

INTERROGATION AND DISCLOSURE:

During sustained interrogation, the accused Subham admitted his involvement in the crime. He revealed that in 2019, he was in a relationship with a girl. When the victim, Pardhuman, informed the girl’s family about their relationship, Shubham became enraged and sought revenge by attacking Pardhuman with a knife.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:

On 03.01.2025, SI Ravinder Singh and CT Manoj received a tip-off indicating that the fugitive criminal, Shubham, wanted in the attempt-to-murder case of PS Nihal Vihar, would be visiting Village Ghevra to meet an associate.

A team led by Insp. Pawan Singh, comprising SI Ravinder Singh, SI Anuj Chhikara, SI Kuldeep Singh, HC Ravinder, HC Pawan Kumar, HC Sohit, CT Manoj, CT Ashok, and W/CT Preety, under the close supervision of Sh. Ravinder Kumar, ACP/WR-II was formed by undersigned to nab absconding accused.

A strategic trap was laid in Village Ghevra, resulting in the successful apprehension of the accused. Following his arrest, he was produced before the concerned court and subsequently remanded to judicial custody.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED:

Subham Kashyap @ Shubham Age 27, Studied up to 10th standard at a government school in Sultanpuri, Delhi. Discontinued studies due to lack of interest. Began working at a jalebi stall. Fell into bad company and started consuming alcohol. On 01.07.2019, he had an altercation with Pardhuman, during which he stabbed him with a sharp knife.

This arrest reflects the steadfast commitment and diligence of the WR-II/Crime Branch in tracking down and apprehending fugitives involved in serious offenses.
