Swaminarayan Akshardham Mandir decorated with lamps on the occasion of Diwali

The festival of lights, this time was celebrated with full joy and gaiety at Swaminarayan Akshardham Mandir, New Delhi. In this festival, the sense of faith, devotion and dedication was overflowing among the people.

During the festival, senior swamis, thousands of devotees and volunteers participated together to celebrate this festival with traditional rituals and veneration ceremony.

The series of festivities began on October 17 with Govatsa Dwadashi, followed by a special Hanuman Puja on October 19, the day of Kali Chaudas. During this puja, special prayers were offered to dispel negativity and darkness from everyone’s lives and to bring peace and harmony to all families and the entire world.

On the day of Diwali, the traditional Bahi Pujan ceremony was performed, during which thousands of devotees and patrons placed their account books at the feet of God and took a vow to invoke auspicious prosperity.

On this occasion, Pujya Munivatsaldas Swami, the in-charge swami of Akshardham Mandir, Delhi explained the significance of bringing the light of the Guru’s grace into one’s life on this festival of lights. He also offered prayers that everyone may receive the blessings of Guru H.H. Mahant Swami Maharaj.

The temple complex was adorned with flowers, colorful festoons, and lamps. The glow of thousands of lit diyas illuminated the entire Akshardham, filling the atmosphere with divine radiance. The dedicated volunteers of the organization played a vital role in the successful celebration, serving selflessly day and night with love and devotion.

Diwali symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. In their discourses, the saints encouraged everyone to embrace the light of devotion and knowledge in their daily lives. The grand Diwali celebration at Akshardham inspired all to unite in faith, love, and harmony, and to continue progressing on the path of righteousness.
