Madhya Pradesh clears the highest number of waiting lists, up to 2,060, in its first attempt.

Madhya Pradesh has received 2,060 seats from the additional seats allocated to various states across the country. With these additional seats, the state's Hajj quota has further increased.

The Central Hajj Committee has released the waiting list of pilgrims who have applied for the holy journey of Hajj. Approximately 22,350 pilgrims from across the country have been granted the opportunity to perform Hajj in 2026. It is worth noting that the tentative dates for Hajj 2026 are May 24th to 29th, 2026. However, Hajj 2026 (1447) will be announced after the sighting of the moon in Zilhij 1447 Hijri. The Hajj Committee is expected to release the flight schedule for the Hajj pilgrimage in its next announcement.

Madhya Pradesh Hajj Committee Chairman Rafat Warsi stated that the Hajj Committee of India has already allocated over 6,500 Hajj 2026 quotas. Upon the release of the list by the Hajj Committee of India, the faces of those fortunate enough to be included lit up with joy, and their families were filled with happiness. The list quickly spread on social media platforms, as Madhya Pradesh saw the highest number of waiting lists cleared, up to 2,060. Those who missed out will now eagerly await the next waiting list to be cleared. State President Rafat Warsi stated that applicants who have been selected on the waiting list will be required to deposit an advance amount of ?1,52,300, including miscellaneous fees of ?2,000 and a processing fee of ?300, by October 11, 2025. The last date for uploading all documents is October 18, 2025. Pilgrims must enter their bank reference number before depositing the amount. After depositing the amount, provisionally selected Haj pilgrims will have to upload the signed copy of the Haj application form along with the documents and the medical screening and fitness certificate on the Haj Committee of India website or submit it to the office of Madhya Pradesh State Haj Committee, Haj House, Airport Road, Bhopal.
