Follow the advice, not the will – Pandit Shubham Agnihotri

A grand celebration of the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, narrated by the renowned narrator of the Katha, Pandit Shubham Agnihotri, began on Saturday at the INTUC Marriage Garden in Hajira.

The program began with prayers at 11 a.m., with Acharya Pandit Vishal conducting the ritualistic worship. Before the Katha, Krishna Agnihotri skillfully conducted the Kalash Yatra.

The Kalash Yatra, which began from the INTUC Marriage Garden, saw 101 mothers and sisters walking with devotion, carrying Kalash on their heads. Devotees danced and swayed to the melodious tunes of the band. Pandit Shubham Agnihotri, along with his wife, carried the Bhagwat Katha on his head. Devotees welcomed Bhagwat Katha with flower showers and aarti at several locations.

On the first day of the Katha, Pandit Shubham Agnihotri led the audience in reciting the greatness of the Srimad Bhagavatam. Describing the Dhundhakari episode, he said, "In today's age, children love their parents' will, but they don't like their advice."

He urged the devotees present to consider their parents' teachings as true blessings in life.

The Katha will be held daily from 3 pm to 7 pm.

At the end, devotees including Mukta Mishra, Seema Dixit, Pooja Dixit, Pramodini Dixit, Diwakar Dixit, Dhirendra Dixit, Jitendra Mishra, Mannu Dixit, Pinky Sharma, Munni Sharma, Nisha Agnihotri, Sudha Mishra, Sangeeta Dubey, Sangam Sharma, Priyanka Agnihotri, Radha Agnihotri, Gungun Mishra, Nimmi Mishra, Shivani Dixit, Saroj Dixit, Alka Sharma, Vasu Sharma, Shagun Devi, and others performed the Aarti.
