The two-day first International Law Seminar, organized by the Law Department of Prestige Management and Research Institute, Gwalior, concluded.

The closing ceremony of the two-day first International Law Seminar, organized by the Law Department of Prestige Management and Research Institute, Gwalior, was held today, September 27, 2025. It is noteworthy that this seminar is being held in memory of the late Justice M.A. Shah.

The primary objective of this seminar was to highlight the evolving dimensions, challenges, and reforms of law in a globalized world, and to understand the fundamental changes taking place in the field of law during this globalization and to discuss the benefits to society.

The chief guest of the program, Advocate Mr. R.D. Jain, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. On this occasion, Mr. Jain expressed his pride in this honor and explained the intricacies of advocacy to the law students in detail. He also wished all the students well for their future and provided guidance.

The chief guest of the program, Honorable Justice Shri Dwarkadhish Bansal, Judge, Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Bench, Jabalpur, said that in today's time, it is the duty of all of us law students to take along the advocacy and judges because if justice is to be provided to the people living in the society, then the judges and lawyers will have to cooperate together so that justice can be provided to the deserving people on time.

The chief guest of the program, Shri Vivek Khedkar, Senior Advocate and Additional Advocate General, Madhya Pradesh, said that law students should learn every aspect of law diligently so that they can easily face the challenges in the future. He also made the students aware of the immense possibilities in the field of law in the future. The chief guest of the program, Professor Harvansh Dixit, Dean, College of Law and Legal Studies, Tirthankar Mahavir University, Moradabad was honored with the Law Excellence Award. On this occasion, Professor Dixit said that it is a matter of great fortune for me to receive this honor and he addressed all the students who had come to the seminar and also made the students aware of the ongoing challenges and solutions in the field of law and he expressed his gratitude to the Law Department, Prestige, Gwalior for giving him the honor.

The chief guest of the program, Mr. M.A. Shah, Advocate, Madhya Pradesh High Court, Gwalior said that law students should have a dedicated spirit towards the society so that we can help the needy people by fighting against the injustice happening in the society and he shared his college days with the students.

The Director of the Institute, Professor Dr. Nirmala Bandyopadhyay said that such seminars motivate the law students to move ahead and she also threw light on the topic of the seminar and prominently discussed the changes taking place in the law at the global level and also wished the law students all the best for the future.

Principal of the Law Department, Professor Dr. Rakhi Singh Chauhan said that the main objective of organizing our seminar was to make the students of our Law Department aware of the ongoing events at the global level and by learning from here, the students can fight the challenges coming their way and she also said that the main objective of the Law Department is the all-round development of all the students. And we keep organizing such programs from time to time. During the programme, Dr. Hariom Awasthi, Head of the Law Department and coordinator of the seminar, gave detailed information in this regard and said that Justice M.A. Shah has made an incomparable contribution to the Indian judicial system and this international seminar is being organised to pay tribute to him and this seminar will be a true tribute to the dedication of late Justice M.A. Shah towards justice and law. More than 150 participants participated in this seminar in which 9 different technical sessions were organized and resource persons from India and abroad evaluated all the participants. In the seminar, prizes were fixed for best paper and best presenter, in which best paper was given to Ekta Tripathi, Thakur Ramayan College of Law, Mumbai, Pratigya Darpe, Vikrant University, Gwalior, Aswathi Sukmaran, Assistant Professor, VITS School of Law, Chennai, Priyanka Gupta and Sushma Singh, Assistant Professor I.I.L.M. Greater Noida, in the same sequence, best presenter was given to Anushka Singh and Nidhi Yadav, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Kamakshi Gupta, Christ University, Bangalore, Janvi Sharma Amity University, Gwalior and Shrestha Pawaiya, Advocate, M.P. High Court, Gwalior. All the winners were honored with medals. All the faculty members of the Law Department were present during the program, including Associate Professor Dr. Akshay Bhargava, Associate Professor Abil Hussain, Associate Professor Rahul Srivastava, Associate Professor Jigyasa Vohra, Associate Professor Diksha Bhadoria, Associate Professor Mansi Soni, Associate Professor Richa Mittal and Associate Professor Sahil Verma. The program was conducted by Associate Professor Mansi Gupta and at the end of the program, Associate Professor and seminar coordinator A. Shish Yadav expressed his gratitude to everyone.
