ACCUSED ABSCONDING IN ATTEMPT TO MURDER CASE NABBED FROM RAJASTHAN BY PS ANAND PARBAT, CENTRAL DISTRICT, TEAM

* ONE WANTED CRIMINAL ARRESTED IN AN ATTEMPT TO MURDER CASE OF PS ANAND PARBAT.
* ACCUSED WAS ABSCONDING SINCE DECEMBER 2024 TO EVADE ARREST.
* ARRESTED AFTER A SPECIAL OPERATION AT AJMER, RAJASTHAN.
* ARREST MADE BY A DEDICATED CRACK TEAM OF PS ANAND PARBAT. 
BRIEF OF INCIDENT:
On 17.12.2024, an incident of Attempt to murder was reported at Police Station Anand Parbat where in complainant, a student of B.A. 1st Year, stated that he along with his friends was present near Prem Nagar, Anand Parbat. At that time, accused Himanshu @ Ravan, who appeared intoxicated, arrived and picked up a quarrel, abusing the complainant and his friends. Soon, his associates Roshan and Himanshu Nayak joined him. After a heated exchange, the accused persons left, threatening to return.
Soon after this incident, accused Himanshu @ Ravan returned along with Deepak, Roshan, and Himanshu Nayak. On being instigated by Himanshu @ Ravan, accused Deepak stabbed the complainant in his back with a knife with the intention to kill him. Thereafter, all four accused persons fled from the spot.
The injured was taken to Acharya Bhikshu Hospital and then referred to Safdarjung Hospital. On his statement, a case was registered at PS Anand Parbat as FIR No. 561/2024 U/s 109(2), 13(5) BNS against all four accused.
During investigation, one accused Himansu Rawan was arrested earlier, but co-accused persons were absconding.
TEAM & OPERATION:
As per the directions of the Worthy DCP/Central District, a special crack team of PS Anand Parbat was tasked with locating and apprehending the absconding/wanted criminals. The team, under the overall supervision of ACP Patel Nagar Sh. Sunil Kumar, was led by Insp. Subhash Chandra, SHO Anand Parbat and comprised of SI Vinod, HC Suresh, Ct Shkbhir and Ct Sachin.
Considering the gravity of offence, the team meticulously analysed criminal records, deployed secret informers on an extended basis, and developed specific intelligence to track the movements of the accused. Continuous monitoring of his social media activities further assisted in tracing his location. Simultaneously, On 09.09.2025,  secret information was received regarding the presence of accused Himansu Nayak at Jadugar Colony, Ajmer, Rajasthan. Acting promptly, the team laid a strategic trap and successfully apprehended the accused and arrested in the present case.

INTERROGATION & RECOVERY:
During sustained interrogation, the accused admitted his involvement in the commission of the offence and disclosed that, in order to evade arrest, he had been deliberately absconding since the registration of the case, frequently changing his hideouts. The weapon of offence (knife) had already been recovered in the case.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED:
The accused is a Class X dropout and was working at an online food delivery restaurant.
Further investigation is in process to nab the remaining co-accused involved in the offence.
