PS SHAHDARA, SHAHDARA DISTRICT TEAM STRIKES HARD – NOTORIOUS AUTO-LIFTER NABBED, 03 STOLEN VEHICLES RECOVERED; MULTIPLE THEFT CASES SOLVED

INCIDENT:-

On 28.08.2025, on the complaint of Mr. Nitin Kumar regarding theft of his motor Cycle Passion Pro color black Reg. No. UP14CW5241, a case vide e-FIR No. 023637/2025 dated 28.08.2025 u/s 305(b) BNS was registered at Police Station Shahdara, Delhi.

A Team comprising of ASI Sanjay, HC Nishant, Ct Nitin, Ct Shivam Dubey, and W/Ct Rakhi, led by Insp. Neeraj Kumar, ATO/Shahdara, was constituted under the close supervision of Insp. Kanhaiya Lal, SHO/PS Shahdara, and the overall supervision of Shri Sanjeev Kumar, ACP/Shahdara. The team was tasked with tracking and apprehending auto-lifters active in the jurisdiction of PS Shahdara. In furtherance of this task, the team was strategically deployed in civil clothes within the area to gather local intelligence. Parallelly, secret sources were also cultivated to develop actionable intelligence regarding the movements and activities of the suspects.

The team obtained and analyzed dozens of CCTV footage from the spot as well as the surrounding area. On reviewing the footage, it was observed that an unknown person had stolen motorcycle, make Passion Pro, Registration No. UP14CW5241. After a detailed analysis of more than 50 CCTV footages, the suspect was identified. His photograph was shared with the sources and he was identified as Pradeep who was earlier arrested in PS Shakarpur in auto theft case. Subsequently, the team reached at the address mentioned in the dossier, but the accused was found shifted to unknown location. After sustained surveillance and search operations, the accused was nabbed.

INVESTIGATION:-

During the course of investigation, at the instance of accused Pradeep R/o East Jawahar Nagar, Behta, Loni, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, one stolen motorcycle — Passion Pro, grey in colour, Registration No. UP14CW5241 stolen from PS Shahdara area, was recovered from Dankaur, Gautam Buddh Nagar, where it was found in the possession of Dilshad . The said motorcycle was taken into police possession. Accused Pradeep was arrested in connection with e-FIR No. 023637/25 dated 28.08.2025, U/s 305(b)/317(2)/3(5) BNS, PS Shahdara, District Shahdara, Delhi, on 30.08.2025.

On further interogation and instance of accused Pradeep , two other vehicles also recovered nearby his house i.e. Nahar Road Behta Loni, Gaziabad and these vehicles found to stolen as below :-

1. Suzuki Access Scooty, Colour Grey, Reg. No. DL5SBB8970 which is found to be stolen vide Case e-FIR No. 016185/25 u/s 305(b) BNS, PS. Seelampur, North-East, District, Delhi.

2. Hero Mystro Scooty, Colour Red, Red. No DL13SS2060 which is found to be stolen vide Case e-FIR No. 00131/25 u/s 305(b) BNS, PS. GTB Enclave, Shahdara District, Delhi

INTERROGATION:-

On sustained interrogation, accused Pradeep disclosed that he is a resident of East Jawahar Nagar, Behta, Loni, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He admitted that he is habitual of consuming drugs and addicted to smoking cigarettes. He has been residing in Behta, Loni, Ghaziabad since birth. He further stated that he was previously working as an iron welding labourer on a daily-wage basis, but at present he is unemployed. He confessed that due to lack of income and inability to meet his basic needs, he started stealing two-wheelers alone.

RECOVERY:-

1. Passion Pro Motor Cycle Gray Color No UP14CW5241

2. Suzuki Access Scooty, Colour Grey, Reg. No. DL5SBB8970

3. Hero Maestro Scooty, Colour Red, Red. No DL13SS2060

2. Case e-FIR No. 013970/25 dated 20/05/2025 u/s 305(b) BNS, PS. Shahdara, Shahdara District, Delhi.

3. Case e-FIR No. 014020/25 dated 20/05/2025 u/s 305(b) BNS, PS. Shahdara, Shahdara District, Delhi

4. Case e-FIR No. 016185/25 u/s 305(b) BNS, PS. Seelampur, North-East District, Delhi

5. Case e-FIR No. 00131/25 u/s 305(b) BNS, PS. GTB Enclave, Shahdara District, Delhi.

6. Case e-FIR No. 023165/25 dated 20/08/2025 u/s 305(b) BNS, PS. Geeta Colony, Shahdara District, Delhi.

7. Case e-FIR No. 023637/25 dated 28/08/2025 u/s 305(b)/317(2)/3(5) BNS, PS. Shahdara, Shahdara District, Delhi.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS: -

• Accused Pradeep, mentioned above, disclosed that he is a resident of East Jawahar Nagar, Behta, Loni, Ghaziabad. He is originally a resident of District Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He admitted that he is habitual of consuming drugs. He has been residing in Uttar Pradesh since birth and is married. At present, he is unemployed and stated that he does not earn sufficient money to meet his basic needs.

PREVIOUS CASES/INVOLVEMENTS :-

• Accused Pradeep is previously involved in 01 case of auto theft in case FIR No. 155/24, U/s 379/411 IPC PS Shakkarpur East District, Delhi.

Further efforts are being made for more recovery.
