DRUG PEDDLER ARRESTED WITH 214 GMS GANJA/CANNABIS AND 1700/- CASH BY THE STAFF OF PS PANDAV NAGAR, EAST DISTRICT

BRIEF : -

Under the zero tolerance on “drugs”, the team of PS Pandav Nagar has arrested a drug seller with the recovery of narcotics substance.

INCIDENT & INVESTIGATION: -

East District Police is consistently carrying out a sustained campaign against substance abuse with the mission to eradicate the drug menace from society and achieve the vision of a Drug-Free Society. In pursuance of this goal, a special drive against narco-offenders is being conducted in East District to curb drug peddling and related activities. As part of this initiative, a dedicated team of PS Pandav Nagar, comprising Insp Pankaj Saroha (Insp. Investigation PS Pandav Nagar), SI Sonu Bhati, HC Dinesh, and Ct. Narender, was constituted under the supervision of ACP/Mayur Vihar to specifically target drug suppliers and their sources. The team undertook proactive measures by sensitizing local informers and developing reliable human intelligence to trace and apprehend offenders involved in the drug trade.

On 31.08.2025, while patrolling the area, the team received credible secret information regarding the sale of Ganja Pudias. The information was immediately shared with ACP/Mayur Vihar, and under the supervision of Insp. Pankaj Saroha (Investigation Officer, PS Pandav Nagar) and overall guidance of ACP/Mayur Vihar, a raid was conducted at Shashi Garden, Delhi. During the raid, one individual was apprehended, who was later identified as Mohd. Sadab (Age 28 years), R/o Jawahar Mohalla, Shashi Garden, Delhi. On frisking, the team recovered 77 Pudias of Ganja, weighing a total of 214 grams. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 373/25, dated 31.08.2025, U/s 20(A) NDPS Act was registered at PS Pandav Nagar, Delhi. Further investigation regarding the source & supply is in progress.

MOTIVE OF ACCUSED: -

During preliminary interrogation, it was revealed that the accused indulged in drug peddling to earn easy money. Being a laborer and rickshaw puller with limited income, he found narcotics trade a quick source of additional earnings.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED: -

The accused Mohd. Sadab (28 years), resident of Jawahar Mohalla, Shashi Garden, Delhi. He is educated up to 7th standard and had shifted to Delhi about 6–7 months ago. At present, he is working as a labourer and rickshaw puller.

RECOVERY: -

• 214 Gms Ganja/Cannabis.

• Rs. 1700/- Cash.
