Mukti Parv: Along with the independence of the country, A holy festival of spiritual awakening Liberation of freedom in devotion -- Nirankari Rajpita Ramit Ji

While the whole of India celebrated the 79th glorious year of independence, Sant Nirankari Mission organized Mukti Parv in a grand manner with reverence and dedication as a festival of spiritual freedom. This festival is not just a memory, but a symbol of awakening of spiritual consciousness and the ultimate purpose of life.

Mukti Parv Samagam was organized at Nirankari Ground No. 8, Burari Road, Delhi under the holy chairmanship of Nirankari Rajpita Ramit Ji, in which thousands of devotees and devotees from Delhi and NCR areas participated and as per the orders of Satguru paid homage to those great saints who dedicated their entire life in the service of humanity to pave the way for salvation.

Apart from this, all the branches of the Mission across the world also organized special satsangs on the occasion of Mukti Parv to pay homage to these divine saints. The devotees remembered Shahenshah Baba Avtar Singh Ji, Jagat Mata Buddhwanti Ji, Rajmata Kulwant Kaur Ji, Mata Savinder Hardev Ji, Bhai Sahib Pradhan Labh Singh Ji and many other devoted devotees from their hearts and drew inspiration from their lives.

Addressing all the devotees in this holy atmosphere of spirituality, Nirankari Rajpita Ji said that today on 15th August, while the country is celebrating the festival of independence, the saints are celebrating it as the festival of liberation with the message of self-consciousness and devotion. Just as the flag and patriotic songs are symbols of freedom, similarly the life of a devotee is filled with the fragrance of service, dedication and devotion. The Brahma Gyan given by the Sadguru is the real freedom, which frees us from 'I' and ego.

The lives of Jagat Mata Ji, Shahenshah Ji, Rajmata Ji, Mata Savinder Ji and many other saints are not just for mention, but for inspiration and conduct. Devotion is true when we live with the feeling of “Tu Kabul, To Tera Kiya Sab Kabul Hai”. Devotion is not valued by the number of years, but by the depth of dedication. This festival of liberation reminds us again and again that life is successful not by taking the name, but by reveling in the name.

Undoubtedly, the penance, sacrifice and service of these saints are still working as a light in the lives of millions of souls. Even in the adverse circumstances of life, they kept the torch of Brahma Gyan burning and spread the message of the mission to the people through their lives. In fact, every devotee of the Nirankari world will always be overwhelmed by their debt.

This festival was started on 15 August 1964 in the memory of Jagat Mata Buddhvanti Ji, which was then organized as ‘Jagat Mata Diwas’. After Baba Avtar Singh Ji passed away on 17th September 1969, this day started being called 'Jagat Mata-Shahenshah Divas' from 1970. After the death of the first Pradhan Bhai Sahib Labh Singh Ji in 1979, Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji named it 'Mukti Parv'. Since 2018, tributes are also paid to Mata Savinder Hardev Ji on this day.

The basic spirit of Mukti Parv is that just as material freedom gives us the path to the progress of the nation, similarly spiritual freedom i.e. freedom from the cycle of birth and death is the ultimate achievement of human life. This freedom is possible only through the divine light of Brahma Gyan, which connects the soul with the Almighty and makes us realize the real purpose of this life.
