Delhi Police foils major gang war conspiracy – three accused of Naveen Bali gang arrested, weapons recovered

Full incident:

In view of Independence Day on 15 August 2025, a special checking and area domination campaign was conducted in the entire North Outer District under the chairmanship of DCP Hareshwar Swami. In which Head Constable Harish, showing vigilance in Police Station Bawana area, saw a suspicious bike outside an Oyo Hotel, which was parked there for a long time.

On getting information about the owner of the said motorcycle, it was found that he was staying in the hotel for the last three days. Head Constable Harish immediately contacted the hotel management and checked the room, in which three youths were found in suspicious circumstances. In a thorough search, a pistol (11 live cartridges) and a country-made pistol (3 live cartridges) were recovered from them.

Background:

The old rivalry between Rajesh Bawania Gang and Naveen Bali Gang in Delhi has given rise to many murders:

1. Murder of Ajay @ Bahadur:

o FIR No. 442/2023, U/sec 302 IPC, PS Kanjhawala

o Main accused: Ankit (son-in-law of Rajesh Bawania)

2. Murder of Dharamveer @ Billu:

o FIR No. 35/2025, U/sec 103(1) BNS & 27 Arms Act, PS Bawana

o Billu was associated with Naveen Bali gang

As a revenge for these murders, Naveen Bali hatched a new conspiracy from inside the jail.

Team and Investigation:

This entire operation was led by Bawana Police Station, in which the activeness and vigilant eye of Head Constable Harish played a big role. On the basis of special surveillance and interrogation, the entire conspiracy was exposed. In which it was revealed that the three accused were staying in Oyo Hotel, Bawana since 11/08/2025, and had done recce several times on motorcycle to carry out the crime. This action is the result of the collective hard work of police station in-charge Bawana and the local beat staff.

Profile of the accused:

1. Anzar Alam S/o Md Rahmat Ullah R/o Chabbu Panna, Pooth Khurd, Delhi (Age 20 years)

2. Ritik S/o Rameshwar Pandit, R/o Chabbu Panna, Pooth Khurd, Delhi (Age: 20 Years)

3. Rajesh Kumar @ Sardar S/o Somraj R/o PO Narot Jaimal Singh, Tehsil & Distt. Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Punjab (Age: 28 years)

Prior Criminal Record:

No prior criminal involvement has been found so far, however a detailed investigation is ongoing.

Recovery:

• One pistol and 11 live cartridges

• One country-made pistol and 3 live cartridges

• One pistol, two magazines and 13 live cartridges (on the information of Anjar Alam)

• Mobile phones containing criminal conversations and chats related to planning

• One motorcycle (DL5ASL-6165) Model Hero Splender

During interrogation, it was clear that:

• Hrithik was assigned the task of recce of the target.

• Anjar and Rajesh were to carry out the murder.

• Himanshu Bhau (gang leader hiding abroad) contacted Anjar and sent help of ?70,000.

• All the accused were in constant touch on WhatsApp.

Additional details (why this arrest is a big achievement):

• This arrest is a milestone in preventing another possible gang war murder in Delhi.

• The conspiracy hatched in jail has been exposed, which will increase the vigilance of security agencies.

• The timely action of Head Constable Harish not only saved the life of an innocent but also foiled a major gang conspiracy.

• This arrest during Independence Day strengthens the law and order of Delhi.

Conclusion:

Due to the vigilance, intelligence and ground surveillance of Delhi Police, a major gang war was averted. All the three accused have been arrested and a case has been registered in Bawana police station under the relevant sections. Further investigation is underway.
