SENSATIONAL MURDER CASE OF BHOGAL, JUNGPURA WORKED OUT WITHIN 24 HOURS, 02 HELD WITH THE WEAPON USED IN COMMISSION OF OFFENCE

Deceased was fatally attacked merely for requesting the assailant not to park his scooty in front of his house
Accused persons are brothers; Gautam, the younger one is a desperate budding criminal and has previous involvements as a juvenile also
Both of them fled from the spot after the incident
Sincere, proactive and concerted efforts of the staff of PP Jangpura, PS Hazrat Nizamuddin, has led to the arrest of both the criminals
Paper punch needle (weapon of offence), which was used to attack the deceased has also been recovered

With the arrest of two accused persons, Ujjwal S/o Dinesh r/o Bhogal, Jangpura Extension (aged 21yrs) and Gautam S/o Dinesh r/o Bhogal, Jangpura Extension (aged 18yrs), the team of Police Post Jungpura, PS Hazrat Nizamuddin has worked out a sensational murder. Weapon used in the commission of offence i.e Paper punch needle has been recovered at the instance of accused Gautam.

Brief Facts:-

On 07.08.25, accused namely Ujjawal s/o Dinesh, who is a music teacher in Lajpat Nagar, came to his house at the above address at around 10.30 PM and parked his scooty in the front of the house of the deceased namely Arif Qureshi. Arif requested him to remove his scooty from there but Ujjawal did not pay any heed to him. When requested again, he got aggressive and started abusing and threatening the victim. In a matter of seconds, he started beating him recklessly and called out to his younger brother, namely, Gautam to come downstairs and kill him. Thereafter Gautam also came and both of them started beating him mercilessly. Meanwhile, Gautam took out a sharp object from the backside of his pants and stabbed Asif in the chest multiple times. This led him to collapse on the spot. Thereafter, both of them fled from the spot. It is pertinent to mention that both of them had attacked Asif 3 months before also, but due to immediate intervention of public persons, Asif was somehow rescued. However, both of them had threatened him of dire consequences.

Team & Operation:-

Sensing the gravity of the case, a team comprising of Inspr. Deepak Kumar ATO/PS Hazrat Nizamuddin, SI Anil Kumar I/c PP Jangpura, SI Paras Dhayani, Ct Karan, HC Vijender and Ct Rajender led by Inspr. Pankaj Kumar/SHO Hazrat Nizamuddin and under the supervision of Sh. Mihir Sakaria, ACP/Lajpat Nagar was formed to trace the accused persons. The team analysed the CCTV footages that initially captured the suspects. However, despite screening of several footages, the police was unable to establish the exact escape route of the accused persons. Simultaneously, technical surveillance was mounted on the alleged persons, ground intelligence was activated. Their local associates/friends were rounded up and firmly interrogated. Eventually efforts bore fruits when finally an input was received regarding Ujjawal. Subsequently, he along with his brother Gautam was arrested. Thereafter, weapon of offence i.e Paper Punch Needle was also recovered at the instance of Gautam.

Interrogation:-

On sustained interrogation, both the accused persons revealed that they entered into an altercation with the deceased over the parking of a scooty. In a fit of anger, both the accused persons attacked the victim with a Paper Punch Needle. The victim succumbed to his injuries in a short while.

Profile of the Accused Persons:-

1. Accused Ujjwal S/o Dinesh R/o Bhogal, Jangpura, Delhi. Age : 19 yrs takes classes in Lajpat Nagar. He left the college in between due to bad peer group. He has an aggressive mind-set and had indulged in scuffle with the Asif previously also. No previous involvement has been found against him.

2. Accused Gautam S/o Dinesh R/o Bhogal, Jangpura, Delhi Age : 18 yrs is the real brother of Ujjawal. He dropped out of school due to bad peer group. He doesn’t do anything. He randomly gets work for livelihood. He has 01 previous involvemnet in case FIR No.142/2025 u/s 115(2)/126(2)/3(5) from PS Lajpat Nagar
