ONE KNIFER WITH AN ILLEGAL BUTTON ACTIVATED KNIFE WAS ARRESTED BY THE STAFF OF PS MADHU VIHAR, EAST DISTRICT, DELHI

  • The East Delhi Police's proactive efforts to curb one knifer in East Delhi have yielded results, with the arrest of a 24-year-old knifer.
  • Routine patrolling leads to recovery of an illegal button-activated knife.
INCIDENT & INVESTIGATION: -
As part of ongoing measures to curb street crime and ensure public safety, a patrolling team from Police Station Madhu Vihar, comprising HC Dinesh, HC Subodh, and Ct. Ashwani, was on routine patrol duty under the supervision of SHO/Madhu Vihar and overall guidance of ACP/Madhu Vihar.
On 10.08.2025, while patrolling near Utsav Ground, DDK Park, I.P. Extension, Delhi-110092, Ct. Ashwani observed a person behaving suspiciously. Upon noticing the police, the suspect attempted to flee. Acting promptly, Ct. Ashwani chased and apprehended him after a brief pursuit. During questioning, the suspect failed to justify his attempt to escape. A cursory search led to the recovery of a button-actuated knife from his possession. The individual was identified as Fardeen (Age 24), R/o Nand Nagri, Delhi. The information was promptly relayed to HC Dinesh and HC Subodh, who immediately proceeded to the spot. During interrogation, he confessed that he was in the area with the intention to commit theft/snatching using the knife. Owing to the swift and vigilant action of the patrolling staff, a possible crime was averted. Accordingly, FIR No. 261/2025, dated 10.08.2025, U/s 25 Arms Act, has been registered at PS Madhu Vihar. Further investigation is underway.
 
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON: -
Fardeen R/o Nand Nagri, Delhi, aged 24 Years. He has studied up to 7th standard and Formerly employed at a company which making brass tank, he is currently unemployed. 
He has been previously involved in three criminal cases. 
 
MOTIVE OF THE ACUSSED: -
During interrogation, accused Fardeen confessed that he was present in the area with the intention to commit theft or snatching. He was carrying the button-actuated knife to use it as a means of intimidation in the commission of such crimes. His possession of the illegal weapon and past involvement in similar offences indicate a continued criminal intent.
 
RECOVERY: - 
One button-operated knife.
