Bureau Chief Mahesh Chandra -  Delhi

Organised under the supervision of Addl. Commissioner of Police, Shri Satyavir Katara, the Delhi Traffic Police has been conducting a week-long Har Ghar Tiranga campaign as part of the 79th Independence Day celebrations. The campaign aims to ignite the patriotic spirit among citizens and reinforce their emotional connection with the Tricolour — the eternal emblem of our sovereignty and pride. This initiative is designed not only to inspire people to display the national flag with honour, but also to create a deeper understanding of its historical significance and the sacrifices made for the nation’s freedom. Through various interactive and creative activities, the campaign strives to instill unity, pride, and respect for the ideals enshrined in our Constitution.

Graffiti & Wall Painting

To further strengthen the spirit of the campaign, a vibrant graffiti and wall painting competition on the theme Har Ghar Tiranga was organised today at the Delhi Traffic Police Headquarters, Todapur. The event turned the premises into a colourful canvas of patriotism, where students from various schools across Delhi came together to pour their creativity and emotions into their artwork. The young participants showcased exceptional artistic skills, blending colours, ideas, and symbolism to reflect their love for the country. Their paintings beautifully captured the essence of unity in diversity, the bravery of our freedom fighters, and the pride associated with the Tiranga, making the competition not just an artistic display, but a heartfelt tribute to the nation.

Thank You Letter Writing for Soldiers and Police Personnel

Adding a heartfelt dimension to the celebrations, students also participated in a Thank You Letter Writing activity dedicated to the brave soldiers guarding our borders and the police personnel ensuring safety within our cities. With sincerity and emotion, the children expressed their gratitude for the courage, sacrifices, and dedication shown by these uniformed heroes.

Their letters carried messages of respect, encouragement, and pride — a touching reminder that the nation’s youth deeply value the service and protection provided by our armed forces and law enforcement agencies. Many students shared personal reflections on freedom, security, and unity, making the activity an inspiring highlight of the day.

Painting Competitions Across Schools

In parallel with the Headquarters event, Delhi Traffic Police extended the Har Ghar Tiranga celebrations to various schools across the capital, organising painting competitions that saw an overwhelming response from students of all age groups. The classrooms and assembly halls transformed into hubs of creative energy as children picked up their brushes to express their patriotic feelings on paper. From depictions of historic moments to visions of a bright future for India, the artworks reflected not only immense talent but also deep emotional resonance with the nation’s journey. The competitions encouraged young minds to think about the meaning of independence and the role they can play in shaping the country’s future.Senior officers, including Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Shri Ajay Chaudhary, Addl. Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Shri Satyavir Katara, and DCPs Shri Shashank (Traffic HQ-I) and Shri S.K. Singh (Traffic HQ-II), lauded the students’ creativity and enthusiasm, expressing pride in their contribution towards fostering unity and patriotic fervour among citizens.
