A HISTORY SHEETER/CRIMINAL IN POSSESSION OF ILLEGAL FIREARMS - NABBED BY TEAM OF PS PATEL NAGAR, CENTRAL DISTRICT; ONE COUNTRY-MADE PISTOL & TWO LIVE CARTRIDGES SEIZED

• ACCUSED HAS INVOLVEMENT IN MULTIPLE PREVIOUS CASES OF ROBBERY & ATTEMPT TO MURDER.

• ALERT PATROLLING BY THE TEAM LED TO SWIFT ACTION & ARREST.

In view of heightening security arrangements multiple patrolling teams were constituted under each police station. The patrolling teams were motivated and briefed to perform patrolling diligently and with full alertness, so as to keep a watch on any suspicious activity in wee hours. The aims of the patrolling are not only the prevention of crime but also the watch on criminals. In such operation, the patrolling team of PS Patel Nagar has arrested an active history sheeter with a country made pistol and two live cartridges.

TEAM & OPERATION:

The operation, led by Insp. Naveen Kumar, SHO/Patel Nagar, included HC Rakesh, Ct. Sonu, and Ct. Surender, was carried out under the overall supervision of Sh. Sunil Kumar, ACP/Patel Nagar.

During intensive patrolling and area surveillance, the team received a tip-off regarding suspected criminal activity in the area. Acting swiftly, they laid a trap, spotted, and apprehended the accused. He was identified as Prateek @ Badal, a notorious History Sheeter of PS Patel Nagar. On his personal search, a country-made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 370/25 U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered.

ACCUSED ARRESTED:

1. Prateek @ Badal R/o Prem Nagar, Delhi Age: 24 Years

PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENTS:

1. FIR No. 468/2021, U/s 394/397/307/411/34 IPC & 25/54/59 Arms Act, PS Patel Nagar

2. FIR No. 350/2022, U/s 392/397/411/34 IPC, PS Patel Nagar

3. FIR No. 50/2023, U/s 307/147/148/149/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Patel Nagar

RECOVERY:

1. One country-made pistol

2. Two live cartridges
