With the arrest of an accused person, the team of PS Gokalpuri recovered 31 rolls of banned Chinese Manjha.

As per the directions of senior officers regarding zero tolerance towards the sale and storage of Chinese Manjha, the North-East District team has been gathering intelligence about individuals involved in the trade of the banned material.
On 29.07.2025, acting on secret information, a dedicated team led by Inspector Parveen Kumar, SHO/PS Gokalpuri, comprising HC Anuj Kumar, Ct. Rohit, and Ct. Hitesh, conducted a raid and arrested a person identified as Shoib S/o Mohd. Usman, R/o Bhagirathi Vihar, Delhi, age-25 yrs. During the search, 31 rolls of banned Chinese Manjha were recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case under Section 223(b) BNS and Sections 5/15 of the EP Act was registered at PS Gokalpuri, and further investigation was taken up.
During interrogation, the arrested accused disclosed that he had procured the Chinese Manjha to sell it at a high profit to kite flyers during the Independence Day celebrations.
Further investigation in the case is underway.
