Police started a special campaign to search for missing children: DIG Amit Sanghi

Bureau Chief Pawan Paruthi - Gwalior

After the success of the drug distance campaign, now the Gwalior Range Police has started a special campaign to search and recover missing minor children. This campaign is being run simultaneously in four districts—Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna and Ashoknagar. Under this, every police station in-charge has been instructed to play an active role.

DIG Gwalior Range Amit Sanghi told in a special meeting on Thursday that the police has got remarkable success so far under this campaign. Special police teams have been formed to search for missing children who are working dedicatedly.

DIG Sanghi said that the police station of Gwalior Range is continuously doing better work, due to which criminal activities have also declined in the area. He also informed that now a new directive has been issued for the speedy disposal of pending complaints in the police stations.

He admitted that due to immediate action on crimes, the general complaints received in police stations do not receive the required attention, due to which the number of complaints increases. Keeping this in mind, instructions have been given to resolve pending cases on priority, so that the victims can get justice on time.

On the question of shortage of police force, DIG Sanghi said that he has sent a proposal in this regard to the IG and Police Headquarters, and a decision on this is expected soon.

The DIG clarified—the police is continuously active in preventing crime and in public interest and such public welfare campaigns will be continued in future as well.
