Interstate Narcotics Drug Cartel busted

BRIEF FACTS:

On 07.07.2025, a team of Special Cell/Southern Range, led by ACP Sh. Ved Parkash, Inspr. Ranjeet Singh and Inspr. Sanjeev Kumar busted an inter-state drug cartel by arresting its three key members:

 

  1. Godhu     Ram     (age   31     years)   s/o                    Chhoga            Ram                  r/o                    Village Darguda Kadanari, Badmer, Rajasthan.
  2. Peera Ram (age 29 years) s/o Pabu Ram r/o Village Darguda Kadanari, Badmer, Rajasthan
  3. Ms. Devi (age 26 year) w/o Girdhari Ram r/o Village Pabusara, Kolu, Badmer, Rajasthan

Subsequently, 18.108 Kgs of fine quality opium, a Creta car bearing reg. no. 24 BH 4615 C and a licensed pistol of 0.32 bore along with six live cartridges were recovered. All the three accused have no previous involvements.

INFORMATION AND OPERATION:

Officials of Special Cell/Southern Range have been focusing on busting inter-state drug syndicates involved in smuggling illegal drugs into Delhi NCR region. Upon receipt of credible input regarding delivery of huge consignment of Opium on 07.07.2025 in Kalindi Kunj area, a team comprising Insp Sanjeev Kumar, HC Harvinder, HC Hariom, HC Shishukant, HC Sandeep and HC Sunil Kumar was constituted and a trap was laid. The team, after spotting the Creta car bearing reg. no. 24 BH 4615 C parked near Agra Canal Road, Kalandi Kunj, surrounded it and apprehended the accused. On search of the above said car, 18.108 Kgs fine quality opium neatly packed in 18 packets and concealed under the foot mats of the car was recovered. A licensed pistol of

0.32 bore along with six live cartridges was also recovered from the above car. The Creta car and pistol are registered in the name of Godhu Ram.

A case vide FIR No. 200/2025, dated 07.07.2025, u/s 18/29 NDPS Act was registered at PS Special Cell, New Delhi in this regard.

BACKGROUND

During interrogation, it has come to notice that the recovered consignment of opium was procured from a person based in Manipur and was meant for supply to Delhi/NCR, Haryana and Rajasthan.

Accused Godhu Ram was serving in the Army and was absconding for the last 9 months.

Further investigation of the case is in progress.
