With an aim to put Uttar Pradesh on the global trade map, the Government of Uttar Pradesh, in association with India Exposition Mart Ltd. (IEML), organised an impressive Roadshow for the 3rd edition of UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 on Friday, 4th July 2025 at Hotel The Royal Plaza, Ashoka Road, Connaught Place, New Delhi. The event followed the curtain raiser event hosted by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji at Lucknow on 27th June 2025.

The Roadshow was an important milestone in the preparations for the upcoming UPITS 2025, which will be held from 25th to 29th September 2025 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. The event themed ‘Ultimate Sourcing Begins Here’ focuses on boosting exports of key sectors of Uttar Pradesh such as MSME, Electronics, IT, Handloom & Textiles, ODOP, Khadi & Village Industries, Sericulture, Food Processing, Automobile, EV, Renewable Energy and Traditional Handicrafts.

The Delhi Roadshow was chaired by Shri Rakesh Sachan, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh, in-charge of MSME, Khadi & Village Industries, Silk, Handloom & Textiles Department. In his address, Shri Rakesh Sachan said, “Uttar Pradesh today is emerging as a hub of possibilities, moving rapidly towards development, entrepreneurship and global connectivity. The UP International Trade Show – UPITS 2025 – to be held from 25th to 29th September 2025 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, is a strong testimony to this progress. It is not just an exhibition of products but an opportunity to showcase the power of Uttar Pradesh’s industries, artisans, MSME units and entrepreneurs on a global platform. From handloom and ODOP to electronics, food processing and renewable energy, UPITS presents a unique amalgamation of tradition and modernity.”

He further added, “Growing exports from 75 districts of the state and growing interest from international markets show that Uttar Pradesh is building strong connect in key sectors. UPITS has become a medium to transform local excellence into global reach, where buyers, investors, innovators and producers can come together to build lasting partnerships. The state government under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji is creating a conducive environment with industry-friendly policies, better law and order and equal opportunities. UPITS 2025 is not just a business event but a vision to connect the potential of Uttar Pradesh with the world.” Mr. Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, MSME & Export Promotion Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh said, “Uttar Pradesh is now rapidly emerging and progressing. The state now has a platform like ‘Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show’ (UPITS) which showcases its industrial and cultural strengths. It is a major gateway for exports for our MSMEs, craftsmen and entrepreneurs. With each edition, UPITS is becoming a bridge connecting local businesses to global markets and empowering us to contribute to the vision of a trillion dollar economy.”

Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, India Exposition Mart Ltd. and Co-organizer of UPITS said, “UPITS will highlight several key sectors and products of Uttar Pradesh that are excelling globally. It is an ideal platform to showcase all the products and services of the state at one place.”

Dr. Ajay Sahai, Director General & CEO, Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) said, “Special events and financial assistance have been arranged for foreign buyers in collaboration with the state government. By bringing the manufacturing and creative power of Uttar Pradesh on one platform, UPITS has become a unique sourcing destination for domestic and international buyers.”

The roadshow also gave a glimpse of the features of UPITS 2025 — such as extensive exhibition sections, focused B2B meetings, buyer circles, ODOP exhibitions, and export promotion zones. This initiative is a step towards attracting industry participation and ensuring participation of buyers from India and abroad.

This roadshow is part of a nationwide series being organised to promote and enhance participation of UPITS 2025. The Delhi edition was organised specifically with the aim to strengthen engagement with sourcing consultants, institutional buyers, exporters and trade organizations of the capital region. This promotional campaign series will be followed by more roadshows in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

After the unprecedented success of the previous editions which attracted lakhs of visitors and buyers and received business proposals worth thousands of crores, UPITS 2025 is being considered more comprehensive, effective and far-reaching. This show is a historic initiative towards business, tradition and transformation of the state.
