It is a strange irony that these days when the language controversy is at its peak in many cities of the country including Maharashtra, the film Sant Tukaram was made in Hindi on the biography of world famous poet Sant Tukaram, and the young director of the film Aditya Om has released this biopic in all the cities of Maharashtra, this film will be released on 18th July only in Hindi. Aditya Om came to promote his film at Big Odeon Multiplex in New Delhi. On this special occasion, many theatre artists, litterateurs, writers, and senior journalists, senior officials, the lead pair of the film, Marathi film superstar Subodh Bhave and actress Sheena Chauhan, Shiva Suryavanshi, Sheesh Sharma, famous theatre artist Arvind Gaur etc. also joined the campaign to promote director Aditya's film. The young director and writer of this film Aditya Om, amidst a barrage of questions from the media present here, said that I had been passionate about making a film on the 17th century saint and social reformer Sant Tukaram for years. After years of research, meeting many Marathi writers and taking inspiration from old films made on Sant Tukaram, when I started working on this project, I even received threats but I did not give up and when the superstar of the Marathi film industry Subodh Bhave agreed to play the lead character of Sant Tukaram in this film, my energy increased manifold.

The lead character of the film Subodh Bhave has done more than 90 Marathi films and many of these films are biopics, all these films were super hits at the box office. Subodh Bhave told the media persons that I did a lot of homework for this character, read many texts related to the life of Sant Tukaram ji, to bring this character alive, I even met many devotees of Sant Tukaram. Bhave says that this film based on a Marathi saint is a slap on the face of those who create controversies in the name of language and do politics on language. The fact that the film on the famous Marathi saint was made in Hindi instead of Marathi proves that no language gives us the message of conflict but of love.

The lead actress of the film Sheena Chauhan said that I am lucky that in the beginning of my career, I got the opportunity to play the lead role with the legend of Marathi films Subodh ji, even though I have done only 9 films till now. Sheena said that the film was shot in a village in Kolhapur and during the shooting, Subodh Bhave ji made the entire unit of the film enjoy Marathi food along with director Aditya.

On this occasion, other actors of the film spoke in detail about their characters and the film. Director Aditya Om said that Ram Arun Govil of the TV serial Ramayana is playing the role of Prabhu Vitthal in the film. According to Aditya, Arun Govil ji's character is the turning point of the story of this film.

Made under the banner of Purushottam Films and Curzon Films, this film Bhasha proves that language does not give rise to any controversy but gives the message of mutual love.
