THREE AUTOLIFTER NABBED BY THE STAFF OF PS GAZIPUR AND RECOVERY OF TWO MOTORCYCLE AFFECTED FROM HIS POSSESSION.

INCIDENT & INTERROGATION: -
                  In line with the Zero Tolerance Policy against organized crime, the staff of PS Gazipur is making relentless and sincere efforts to rid the East District of criminal elements and dismantle organized crime networks. In recent days, multiple incidents of motor vehicle theft were reported in the jurisdiction of PS Ghazipur. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a dedicated police team was formed under the close supervision of Sh. Tilak Chand Bist, ACP/Madhu Vihar. The team was led by SHO/Inspector Nirmal Kumar Jha and comprised HC Dinesh Kumar, HC Jitender Nagar, HC Arvind Kumar, Ct. Manudeep, and Ct. Maha Singh.
      
              On 16.06.2025, the team was deployed at a police picket at Khora Chowk, Paper Market, Ghazipur, Delhi, for routine vehicle and pedestrian checking. During the operation, three youths riding a motorcycle were intercepted. The front and rear number plates of the vehicle were found broken. Upon being asked, the trio failed to produce any valid documents for the motorcycle.Verification of the engine number and registration details revealed that the motorcycle, bearing Reg. No. UP 1* FN 4*6, had been reported stolen from Mayur Vihar Phase-3, Delhi, vide e-FIR No. 016360/25 dated 13.06.2025, under Section 303(2) BNS. The accused were identified as: Avi Kumar, R/o Khoda Colony, Ghaziabad, UP (Age 22), Monu, R/o Khoda Colony, Ghaziabad, UP (Age 22) and Parvesh, R/o Khoda Colony, Ghaziabad, UP (Age 26). All three were apprehended on the spot, and the stolen motorcycle was seized in accordance with legal procedure. During sustained interrogation, the accused disclosed their involvement in other vehicle thefts. They confessed to stealing a black Splendor motorcycle (Reg. No. UP 1 BY 6**2) in December 2024 from the West Vinod Nagar area. This vehicle was linked to e-FIR No. 039630/24 registered at PS Mandawali and has since been recovered on their instance. Further, Avi and Monu admitted to having stolen two more Splendor Plus motorcycles from the Paper Market area, Ghazipur, on 09/06/2025 and 11/06/2025. Corresponding cases were already registered as e-FIR No. 16038/25 and 16199/25 at PS Ghazipur. They also disclosed that these motorcycles were concealed in NOIDA, UP. Further investigation is underway to uncover additional links and recoveries.
 
  
 
 
PROFILE OF ACCUSED: -
 
1. Avi Kumar R/o Khoda colony Ghaziabad UP age-22 yrs. He is school dropout, used to work as labour.
2. Monu R/o Khoda colony Ghaziabad UP age 22 yrs. He is school dropout & used to work as labour. 
3. Parvesh R/o Khoda Ghaziabad Up age 26 yrs. He is school dropout & used to works as labour.
 
INVOLVEMENT: -
• All accused have previously involved in 04 criminal cases.
 
MOTIVE OF THE ACCUSED: -
During sustained interrogation, the accused Avi Kumar, Monu, and Parvesh disclosed that they are school dropouts and work occasionally as laborers. Facing financial instability and lacking regular income, they turned to stealing motorcycles as an easy means to earn quick money. The stolen vehicles were intended to be sold in nearby areas or dismantled for spare parts. They admitted to forming a small group to target parked two-wheelers, especially in isolated areas or during night time hours. Their actions were driven by financial desperation and influenced by peer pressure and the lure of easy gains.
 
 
RECOVERY: -
1. Two stolen M/Cycles. 
APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC: -
Delhi Police urges citizens to take the following precautions to prevent motor vehicle theft:
• Always park vehicles in well-lit and secure locations.
• Install anti-theft devices such as wheel locks, handle locks, and GPS trackers.
• Avoid leaving vehicles unattended for long durations in isolated areas.
• Be alert to suspicious activity around parking zones and inform the police immediately.
• Keep a copy of your vehicle’s documents with you and ensure registration details are up to date.
• Report any loss or theft of vehicle without delay by calling 112 or visiting your nearest police station.
Residents are encouraged to participate in local community policing and share relevant information with their area’s beat staff to collectively maintain law and order.
