? ACCUSED DHARAMVEER @ PALLA WAS WANTED IN A CASE OF RECOVERY OF 567 KG OF ILLEGAL GANJA AT SAWAI MADHOPUR, RAJASTHAN, HAVING A REWARD OF RS 10,000/- ON HIS ARREST.

INTRODUCTION

The team of WR-II/Crime Branch has arrested an absconding drug supplier, namely Dharamveer Singh @ Palla S/o Phool Singh R/o D-562-563-569, JJ Colony, Inderpuri, Delhi, Age-50 years. Accused Dharambeer @ Palla was wanted in an NDPS case of recovery of 567 Kg of illegal Ganja in Case FIR No. 135/24 dated 26.07.2024 u/s 8/25 NDPS Act PS Rawanjana Dungar, District Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. A reward of Rs. 10,000/- vide order No. P-14(General)/MOB/Reward/2025/2886-2956 dated 01.04.2025 had been declared on his arrest by Rajasthan Police. He is an absent BC of PS Inderpuri, Delhi. In the year 2022, accused Dharambeer @ Palla had attacked Delhi Police Raiding team at Inderpuri, Delhi. He is previously involved in several heinous cases.

BRIEF FACTS OF INCIDENT:-

On 26.07.2024, Rawanjana Dungar Police Station, District Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, set up a checkpoint at Rawanjana Chauraha located on the Lalsot-Kota Mega Highway. During the operation, a mini truck was intercepted which was found to be loaded with illegal narcotic substances. Approximately 567 kilograms of illegal cannabis (ganja) was seized from the vehicle, with an estimated market value of Rs. 56 lakhs. Along with the mini truck, a Swift car was also seized by the police. During the blockade, the police spotted a Tata pickup mini truck matching the description shared by the Uttar Pradesh ATS. Upon stopping and inspecting the vehicle, a large quantity of cannabis was discovered hidden under the cover of plants. The police arrested five accused persons, including the driver of the truck, in connection with the illegal transportation of narcotics. In this regard case FIR No. 135/24 dated 26.07.2024 u/s 8/25 NDPS Act PS Rawanjana Dungar, District Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan was registered and a reward of Rs.10,000/- has been declared vide order No. P-14(General)/MOB/Reward /2025/2886-2956 dated 01.04.2025 on the arrest of accused Dharamvir @ Palla by Rajasthan Police.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION

On 16/06/2025, a secret information was received to HC Pramod Kumar that one fugitive criminal namely Dharamvir @ Palla, who is wanted in a case of NDPS act by Rajasthan Police would come to Singhu Border, Narela.

A team of Insp Gautam Malik led by SI Anuj Chhikara, SI Ravinder Singh, HC Parmod, HC Pawan, HC Pawan Kumar, HC Ashok, HC Rajesh, Ct Manoj W/Ct Preety and W/Ct Kajal Meena under the close supervision of Sh. Rajpal Dabas, ACP/WR-II was constituted by Sh. Harsh Indora, DCP/Crime-III to nab the criminal. Team member HC Ravinder mounted technical surveillance and zeroed the location of the accused. Accordingly, on 16.06.25, a trap was laid by the team at MCD Toll Booth, Narela Delhi and accused was apprehended.

INTERROGATION AND PROFILE OF ACCUSED:-

The accused Dharamveer was born at Inderpuri, Delhi in the year 1975 in a Shansi Community. His father Phool Singh was a boot legger. The accused Dharamveer is illiterate and indulged in family business of illegal liquor selling. After his marriage in 1994, he got involved in various illegal activities and started supplying illegal Ganja in Delhi. To hood wink his illegal activities, he started a business of Cable operator in the area of Inderpuri. He was arrested by Narcotics of Crime Branch in the year 2006. Thereafter, in the year 2016, he was arrested by Crime Branch in two separate cases involving illegal Ganja. Gradually, he became Drug Lord of Delhi and his illegal Ganja was smuggled from South India to Delhi. He used to supply Ganja to many members of his community. He was again arrested in the year 2021 in cases of NDPS. In the year 2022, he along with his associates had attacked team of Narcotics, Delhi Police. The Narcotics team reached Inderpuri to arrest wanted drug smuggler Dharamveer @ Palla. During the raid, the smuggler was not present at his house. Two persons sustained bullet injuries and four police personnel were injured in stone-pelting by a mob when the Delhi Police team went to arrest a wanted drug peddler in the Indrapuri area of the national capital. He was the master mind of the attack. He was changing his location frequently to evade arrest. He did not live at an address for long and kept changing his residence.
