Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting with senior officials at the Chief Minister's residence today.

During this, the Chief Minister said that on the lines of Chief Minister's Adarsh ??Gram Sarkot, two model villages will be built in each district of the state.

In this regard, the Chief Minister has given instructions that special attention should be paid to the effective implementation of schemes for overall development and livelihood promotion in these villages. The Chief Minister said that all the officers should remain engaged with full readiness and commitment to work rapidly towards 'Developed Uttarakhand' in accordance with the 'Developed India' vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

He directed that in the two model villages to be built in each district, along with encouraging promising areas like agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, beekeeping, dairy development, mushroom production, effective steps should be taken by adopting an integrated approach for the overall social and economic development of these villages. Keeping in mind the local style and culture, all basic facilities like education, health, roads, drinking water will be ensured in these villages.

The Chief Minister said that arrangements should be made to illuminate these villages through locally produced solar energy. Priority should also be given to activities that increase livelihood opportunities and accelerate economic development by arranging marketing of local products in these villages and giving adequate encouragement to self-help groups.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister, while giving instructions to strictly follow the law and order on the Char Dham Yatra routes, said that strict action should be ensured against the elements involved in creating unrest and unwanted activities on the Dhams and Yatra routes.

The Chief Minister also gave instructions to start work by quickly identifying suitable places for the establishment of two Spiritual Economic Zones announced on International Yoga Day.

The Chief Minister said that to promote adventure tourism further, work should also be done on priority to develop new destinations. So that the regional youth can get better employment opportunities at the local level.

He said that short-term, medium-term and long-term plans should be prepared to strengthen the tourism infrastructure of the state and to create employment at the local level. Along with working fast on the master plan of Hanol and Jageshwar and the plan for construction of Haripur Kalsi Ghat, he has also given instructions to pay special attention to benefiting the villages connected with the travel route through the homestay scheme.

Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Dhiraj Garbyal, Additional Director General of Police A.P. Anshuman, Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari were present in the meeting.
