ABSCONDING ACCUSED INVOLVED IN EXTORTION/ROBBERY IN NARWANA AREA OF JIND DISTT. HARYANA CAUGHT WITH FIREARM IN DELHI.

SPECIAL CELL FOILS CRIMINAL ESCAPE, RECOVERED WEAPON OF OFFENCE I.E. ONE BERRETA PISTOL WITH LIVE CARTRIDGES AND SCOOTY USED IN COMMISSION OF CRIME.

A team of the Special Cell, South-Western Range (SWR), led by Insp. Sandeep Dabas under the supervision of ACP/SWR Sh. Rahul Kumar Singh, has arrested an absconding accused person wanted in sensational extortion/robbery case that occurred in Narwana, Jind, Haryana. During the operation, the team recovered an illegal Berreta pistol along with three live cartridges alongwith scooty used in crime from the possession of the accused.

Team, Development of Information & Operation:-

On 13.06.2025, at approximately 08:50 PM, the complainant, along with his friend, was present at his grocery store in Choupda Patti, Narwana, District Jind, Haryana, when four assailants arrived on a scooty and a motorcycle. There were a total of four accused in this case—two named in the FIR and two unidentified. The assailants entered the grocery store armed with weapons and demanded ?50 lakh from the complainant. Upon his refusal, they shot him in the abdomen, snatched the cash counter key, and looted ?2.5 lakh. While fleeing, they threatened the complainant, stating that they would return the next day and that ?50 lakh should be kept ready. Thereafter, complainant was hospitalized and is currently undergoing treatment. A case was registered vide FIR No. 170/2025 dated 14.06.2025 u/s 375/109(1)/308(4)/311/333/351(2)/3(5) of BNS and 25/27 Arms Act at PS Narwana City, Jind, Haryana.

On 21.06.2025, specific intelligence was received by the team of Insp. Sandeep Dabas, SWR/Special Cell that one of the alleged accused would be arriving near Khanda Chowk, Chander Vihar, near Vikas Puri Delhi. Acting on this input, a team was formed and a trap was laid. At around 05:00 PM, a suspect was spotted approaching Khanda Chowk. He was identified by the informer as Naseeb, involved in the armed robbery in Narwana, Jind distt. Haryana. On spotting the police team, the suspect attempted to flee but was apprehended by alert team members. Upon personal search, one Berretta pistol along with three live cartridges and a scooty was recovered from his possession. During interrogation, the accused disclosed his identity as Naseeb S/o Sita Ram, R/o Sultanpuri, Delhi, aged 32 years. Accused person has been arrested under relevant sections of law.

2. Three live cartridges.

3. One Scooty used in crime of Delhi registration.

Profile of Accused Person:-

Naseeb, S/o Sitaram, is an illiterate resident of Sultanpuri, Delhi. He is married and has four other married siblings. Coming from an economically poor background, he used to do small jobs to make a living. He came into contact with criminal elements of Delhi and Haryana in search of quick money.

Further interrogation of the arrested accused and investigation of the present case is in progress.
