LAP-GYN SYNERGY 2025: Two-day gynecological laparoscopy workshop started at Datia Medical College.?

Under the guidance of visionary and energetic Dean and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Deepak Singh Marawi in Government Medical College Datia, today on 21/06/25, two-day LAP-GYN SYNERGY 2025 (C.M.E. and Workshop) was inaugurated in the Department of Gynecology under the chairmanship of Head of Department Dr. Shweta Yadav.?

C.M.E. In this program, senior gynecologist of Birla Hospital Gwalior, Dr. Snehlata Dubey, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Gajra Raja Medical College Gwalior, Dr. Renu Jain, Laparoscopic Gynecological Surgeon from Sagar, Dr. Shivika Yadav, Professor and Head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Government Medical College Datia, Dr. Shweta Yadav, Professor and Head of Surgery Department, Dr. K. N. Arya and Head of Anesthesia Department, Dr. Bharat Verma gave informative lectures on various topics related to laparoscopy.

Dr. Snehlata Dubey gave a detailed lecture on the benefits of gynecological surgery through telescope. She told that laparoscopic surgery causes less pain as compared to traditional surgery and recovery is also faster. Now almost all surgeries of uterus can be done through telescope.

Dr. Renu Jain gave a lecture on various methods used in laparoscopic. CME. In the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Surendra Kumar Baudh (Dean-in-Charge and Head of Department, Department of Pharmacology) said that the laparoscopic surgery workshop has been organized with the efforts of our Dean Dr. Deepak Marawi, whose aim is to enrich the knowledge of doctors about new surgical techniques, now the facility of laparoscopic surgery is also available in Government Medical College Datia. Dr. K.C. Rathore (Civil Surgeon, District Hospital Datia) congratulated the team for organizing this workshop and hoped that the people of Datia district will get the benefit of the latest facilities. About 100 doctors of Medical College and District Hospital including Dr. Sachin Yadav (Associate Medical Superintendent), Dr. Sameer Sathe, Dr. Vivek Verma, Dr. Rajesh Gupta, Dr. Praveen Tagore, Dr. Kiran Tripathi, Dr. Amrita Chauhan, Dr. Kamal Kachhawa, Dr. B.P. Kale, Dr. Jitendra Kanjolia, Dr. D.S. Tomar, Dr. Ajay Singh, Dr. S.S. Tomar were present.?

Dr. Shweta Yadav, Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, gave information about the diseases which can be diagnosed and treated by laparoscopic surgery. She informed that on the second day of the workshop tomorrow, about 10 patients suffering from various gynecological problems will be operated with this latest laparoscopic technique and live broadcast will be done in the lecture hall for the training of doctors and staff. In the second day's program, 50 doctors will be trained not only from Datia Medical College but also from Gwalior, Shivpuri and Jhansi Medical College.

The representatives participated in this program with great enthusiasm. The program was successfully conducted by Dr. Meenu Bakna, Associate Professor, Department of Pathology, Government Medical College Datia, and Dr. Swati Srivastava, Demonstrator, Department of Biochemistry.

MBBS students studying in the institute participated enthusiastically in the poster competition organized for MBBS students under CME. 45 students participated in the poster competition. Chhaya Mahaur got first place, Narayani got second place and Naina Tomar got third place.
