Ganja smuggler caught in joint police action under the leadership of Dabra City Police Station Incharge Yashwant Goyal and Tekanpur Incharge Balveer Singh Mawai

On the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police Gwalior Shri Dharamveer Singh (Bapuse), effective action is being taken by Gwalior Police against those who buy and sell illegal drugs, illegal liquor and illegal weapons. In this connection, on 20.06.2025, the Tekanpur Police Outpost received information through an informer that a person is standing near the village Samudan bridge to sell ganja. The senior officers were informed about the said information, on which Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Shri Niranjan Sharma directed the Dabra City Police Station team to verify the informer information and take action.

In compliance with the instructions of senior officers, under the able guidance of SDOP Dabra Shri Jitendra Nagaich and under the leadership of Police Station Incharge Dabra City Inspector Yashwant Goyal, a team of police force was sent to take action at the place mentioned by the informer under the leadership of Outpost Incharge Tekanpur Sub Inspector Balbir Mawai. The police team saw a suspicious person of the description given by the informer sitting on the platform near the village Samudan bridge, who tried to run away on seeing the police team, but the smuggler was surrounded and caught by the police team. On asking the name and address of the arrested smuggler, he said that he was a resident of Hanuman Colony Tekanpur Dabra. On searching the arrested suspect, 360 rupees cash was found from his shirt pocket and when the bag found in his hand was opened and checked, it was found to be full of ganja. On weighing the illegal drug ganja, its weight was found to be 01 kg 138 grams, which was duly seized by the police team and a case of crime number-415/25 section 8/20 NDPS has been registered against the said ganja smuggler in Dabra city police station and investigation has been taken up.

Material seized:- Ganja 01 kg 138 grams, 360 rupees cash, total worth about 12,000 / - rupees.
