Surgical strikes and Operation Sindoor have demonstrated that under the strong leadership of the Modi government, India has adopted a policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism – Bansuri Swaraj

During the COVID-19 pandemic, India provided free vaccines to 48 countries, and under Modi Ji’s leadership, India has now become the ‘Pharmacy of the World’ – Bansuri Swaraj

New Delhi, June 20: Addressing a press conference today, Delhi BJP Minister and New Delhi MP Ms. Bansuri Swaraj stated that the 11 years of Modi government is not just a political timeline, but a transformative era of building the destiny of the nation. The press conference was also attended by District President Mr. Virendra Babbar, Mr. Ravindra Chaudhary, MLA Mr. Harish Khurana, Mr. Anil Sharma, Ms. Shikha Rai, Mr. Neeraj Basoya, and Mr. Umang Bajaj.

Ms. Swaraj said: “You all will remember that before 2014, hoisting the national flag in Kashmir was in itself a challenge. Our MLA, Ms. Shikha Rai, was arrested when she tried to hoist the flag at Lal Chowk. But after 2014, when the revered voters of India chose Narendra Modi Ji as the Prime Minister, the country has witnessed an unprecedented transformation in these 11 years.”

Ms. Swaraj continued: “When we see the inauguration of the world’s highest railway arch bridge over the Chenab River by PM Modi himself, it roars as a symbol of a developing India. When PM Modi walks with the Tricolour in Jammu & Kashmir, it’s not just a sign of development but a morale booster for the nation.”

Talking about national security, she stated, “The Modi government is committed to making India free from Naxalism by 2026. As of now, 60 districts have been completely freed from Naxal influence. Every time India’s security was threatened by Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, our Armed Forces under Modi Ji’s leadership have entered enemy territory and eliminated terrorists.”

She emphasized: “The surgical strike after Uri and the recent Operation Sindoor have made it clear that under Modi Ji, India follows a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. Operation Sindoor’s success also brought a major diplomatic victory for India. Leaders from various political ideologies, including Muslim representatives, Congress, BJP, and Biju Janata Dal, were sent abroad in seven delegations. I had the honor of being part of one of them. I was proud to see that despite ideological differences, everyone spoke only of Indian unity. Our stance – zero tolerance towards terrorism – echoed across 33 countries.”

Speaking on India’s global humanitarian image, she said, “During COVID, India sent free vaccines to 48 countries like life-saving medicine. I visited three West African nations – Congo, Sierra Leone, and Liberia – and people there personally thanked Modi Ji and the Government of India. Today, under Modi Ji, India has become the Pharmacy of the World.”

“India is playing the role of both Vishwamitra (friend of the world) and Vishwaguru (teacher of the world). During India’s G20 presidency, Modi Ji spread the message of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (‘The world is one family’). It was under his leadership that the African Union was granted permanent membership of the G20 – a huge diplomatic achievement.”

“After Operation Sindoor, the three West African countries pledged support for India. In Sierra Leone and Liberia, a one-minute silence was observed in their Parliaments for the victims of Pahalgam – something previously unimaginable. This was possible only because “Modi Hai Toh Mumkin Hai” (If Modi is there, it’s possible).”

On the Indian diaspora in the UAE, she said, “After Indira Gandhi Ji, no Indian PM visited the UAE until Modi Ji. The Indian diaspora there told me that when PM Modi came, their heads rose in pride. Indians are now seen with more dignity and respect. India has now become the world’s fourth-largest economy.”

“India’s progress post-Operation Sindoor is evident as the world is now singing praises of India and standing with us. This growth would not have been possible without the power of women (Matrushakti). Even in mythological times, when the gods were in trouble, they first invoked the divine feminine. Similarly, today’s developed India stands on the foundation of empowered women.”

Ms. Swaraj added: “You see, the person who introduced India to the concept of budgeting wasn’t even a part of authorized banking. That’s why in the last 11 years, the Modi government launched the Jan Dhan Yojana, and more than half the accounts opened are in the names of women. Under the Mudra Yojana, 68% of the total loans have been availed by women.”

Speaking on economic empowerment, she highlighted the ‘Drone Didi’ scheme, aimed not only at financial inclusion but also at transforming agriculture through tech-enabled women participation. The target of creating 1 crore ‘Lakhpati Didis’ has been met, and now the goal has been raised to 3 crores. The 18th Lok Sabha will be the last where women are underrepresented because the Women’s Reservation Bill passed under PM Modi ensures 33% reservation for women in both Parliament and State Assemblies starting 2029. “Women will become the architects of India’s destiny,” she declared.

On youth and startups, she said, “A developed India must stand on the shoulders of empowered youth. Today, India is the third-largest startup ecosystem in the world, thanks to initiatives like Startup India.”

She also cited infrastructure achievements: “The Vizhinjam Port Project in Kerala is set to become the world’s largest port, capable of docking the biggest cargo containers. This is the saga of progress and development. But with development comes good governance and welfare.”

During COVID-19, Modi’s government provided free ration to 810 million (81 crore) people. Over 4 crore houses were built under the PM Awas Yojana, directly benefiting the middle and lower-income classes. In Delhi alone, over 40,000 houses were allocated.

She also praised the PM SVANidhi scheme, where loans were given to street vendors without collateral. “Those whom no one guarantees – Modi Ji guarantees.”

She concluded: “Modi Ji’s 11 years are not just about legacy, but also development. After 500 years of wait, our fight for identity, pride, and existence culminated in the grand construction of the Ram Mandir, and the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) was performed by PM Modi himself. Corridors for Mahakaleshwar and Kashi Vishwanath were also constructed.”
