Message of awareness on plastic pollution Indiscriminate use of plastic is harmful for the environment

On the sixth day of the Environment Dialogue Week organized by Jimmy and Janak McGilligan Foundation for Sustainable Development, the program "Eliminate Plastic Pollution with a Healthy Lifestyle" concluded at Kaivalya Wellness Hub, Silver Spring. Dr. Janak Palta started the program with a prayer and emphasized on personal responsibility in environmental protection. He said that water should be served in glasses instead of closed bottles in group programs. Silver Spring Society President Devendra Singh Tomar shared society-level efforts to reduce plastic use. Keynote speaker Prof. Jayshree Sikka said that indiscriminate use of plastic is harmful for animals and the environment. Vaidya Shefali called for adopting a plastic-free life by making small changes in everyday lifestyle. On this occasion, her book Harmonics of Life was also released. At the end of the program, 60 participants took a pledge to reduce plastic use.
