Bua Excise Department seized illegal liquor from a Mahindra pickup vehicle

In compliance with the instructions given by Collector Neha Meena and Deputy Commissioner Divisional Flying Squad Indore Sanjay Tiwari for continuous action to prevent the sale of illegal liquor in Jhabua district, under the direction of District Excise Officer Jhabua Mrs. Basanti Bhuria, during patrolling on 02 June 2025, a suspicious Mahindra pickup vehicle was seen going from the airstrip on Kundla road in circle Jhabua 'A' by the Excise team, which was chased and stopped in village Karadavad Badi. The driver left the vehicle on the roadside and fled, who could not be caught even after chasing.

On searching the vehicle on the spot, 13 crates (total 156 bulk litres) of Mount 6000 super strong beer cans were duly seized from vehicle number MP 39G0958 and a case was registered under section 34(1)(a), 34(2), 36, 46 of Madhya Pradesh Excise Act 1915 and amended Act 2000 against the unknown accused who had fled from the spot with the excise possession. The said action was taken into investigation and videography and photography were done under the new legislation. The estimated market value of the total seized liquor is Rs. 35,880/- and the value of the vehicle is Rs. 7,00000/-. Thus, the total value of liquor and vehicles is Rs. 7,35,880/-. The above action was taken by Excise Sub-Inspector Aklesh Solanki under the guidance of Assistant District Excise Officer Mahadev Solanki and Chief Constable Kantu Damor, Ram Sharma, Sohan Nayak and driver Bahadur had a significant contribution. The action of the Excise Department against the sale and illegal transportation of illegal liquor in the district will continue.
