Key Kingpin Arrested in a case of NDPS Act: Total 1.896 Kg high quality Charas of value approximately one crore recovered:

         In a significant victory for the ongoing 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan', the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested 51-year-old Pawan Kumar, a long-standing and key figure in a major narcotics syndicate. His arrest near Khajuri Chowk in Delhi with 1.896 kg of charas underscores the Delhi Police's resolute 'zero tolerance' policy against drug trafficking. 
       The operation is a result of meticulous intelligence gathering and strategic execution by the team of ANTF, Crime Branch. On 04.06.25, a dedicated team comprising SI Somaya Kulhar, ASI Dharmendra, ASI Praveen, ASI Neeraj, ASI Upendra, HC Deepak, HC Samrat, HC Mukesh, and Ct Vikrant was led by Inspector Shiv Kumar and under the close supervision of Shri Rajkumar, ACP/ANTF, Crime Branch, successfully executing the operation. The team apprehended Pawan Kumar, S/o Late Rajendra, resident of Village PochanPur Extension-A, Dwarka, Delhi, while he was waiting on a white scooty Honda Activa, with the intent of drug delivery. After a thorough search, a total of 1.896 kg of charas was recovered from him. Subsequently, a case FIR No. 136/25 dated 04.06.2025 u/s 20/25 NDPS Act at PS Crime Branch was registered. After that he was arrested by second investigation officer, SI Dev. Total value of recovered Charas is approximately one crore in international market.
           During interrogation, Pawan Kumar revealed his role as a major drug supplier for the last 15-20 years, supplying charas from Himachal Pradesh to Delhi and neighbouring areas. He primarily utilized his scooty for this illicit trade, often traveling between Delhi and Himachal Pradesh. Further investigation revealed Pawan Kumar's previous criminal record, including a case under the NDPS Act registered at PS Banjar, District Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. Pawan Kumar is a tempo driver by profession. 
The Delhi Police is committed to dismantling the entire drug trafficking ecosystem. Further investigation is underway. The Crime Branch of Delhi Police is steadfast in its commitment to completely dismantle this drug trafficking network. This successful arrest underlines the relentless and dedicated efforts of the Delhi Police, working under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, to effectively tackle the widespread menace of drug trafficking. 
          Further investigation is underway to nab the remaining members of this syndicate and bring them to justice.

 Father's Name: Late Rajendra Address: H No. 2, Gali No. 2, Village PochanPur Extension-A, Dwarka, Delhi 
Occupation: He is a tempo driver by profession.
Previous Conduct: The accused Pawan has already been active in Drug Trafficking of Charas in previous decade also. He was arrested with a recovery of 1 KG Charas in year 2011 with his three associates and Case was registered at PS Banjar, District Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, vide FIR No. 27/11 u/s 20 NDPS Act. The accused was convicted by Himachal High Court in that case. said It was the keen & sincere efforts of the ANTF, Crime Branch, Delhi Police, that with securing and developing the strong information network and surveillance, the accused Pawan was nabbed with huge quantity of Charas.
