EAST DISTRICT POLICE SOLVES ATTEMPT TO MURDER CASE WITH ARREST OF TWO ACCUSED – ILLEGAL FIREARM RECOVERED.

Both accused worked as bouncers at a club.

BRIEF OF THE INCIDENT: -

At approximately 4:05 AM on 15th May 2025, a PCR call was received regarding an incident of firing and an attempted murder near a CNG pump in the vicinity of the Paper Market, under the jurisdiction of PS Ghazipur. Upon receipt of the information, the local police team along with the crime team and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) unit immediately reached the crime scene. The spot is being examined thoroughly for evidence collection. The injured individual was identified as Preet Kasana S/o Ritesh Kasana R/o Indira Vihar, Khoda, Age- 24 years. He sustained a gunshot wound in the lower abdomen (entry from the right side, exit from the left) and a lacerated injury to the back of the head. He was promptly shifted to Metro Hospital, Sector-11, Noida, where he is currently admitted in the ICU. His condition has been reported as stable. Initial inquiry and eyewitness account by Lalit, aged 24 years, R/o Khoda, revealed that on the night of 14.05.2025, the complainant attended a birthday party hosted by his friend Preet Kasana. Following the celebration, they decided to continue the party at Bang Bang Club, Angel Mall, Kaushambi, Ghaziabad. While inside the club, they were confronted by the bouncer—Prince Hoon—who is known to the complainant. A verbal altercation ensued after Prince asked them to leave. The group left the club but tensions escalated via telephonic arguments. Later, Lalit, Preet, and others stopped near the CNG pump at Paper Market, Ghazipur, waiting to meet Prince to "settle the matter." Soon after, Prince arrived with his associates in multiple cars and physically assaulted Preet and Lalit with sticks and rods. During the assault, Prince allegedly took out a sophisticated pistol and fired at Preet Kasana, injuring him. The accused then fled the scene. The victim was rushed to Metro Hospital, Noida for treatment, and a PCR call was made. Hence, an FIR No. 237/2025 U/s 109(1)/3(5) BNS was registered at Police Station Ghazipur based on a complaint by Lalit Kumar and investigation was taken up.

INVESTIGATION AND ARREST: -

Keeping up with the gravity of the incident, led to the formation of three teams. The teams consisted of:

Team A: Staff of Police Station Gazipur comprised SI Sandeep Kumar, SI Sanjeev Kumar, HC Dinesh Kumar, HC Amit Kasana, and HC Arvind Kasana led by Insp. Nirmal Kumar Jha, SHO/Ghazipur, under the supervision of ACP/Madhu Vihar Sh. Tilak Chand Bist.

Team B: Staff of Special Staff Incharge Insp. Jitendra Malik, led by ACP/Ops.

Team C: Staff of Anti-Narcotics Squad Incharge Insp. Arun Kumar, led by ACP/Ops.

These teams had worked under the overall supervision of undersigned. Acting promptly on the information, the various teams of East Districts i.e. PS Gazipur, Anti Narcotics Squad, Special Staff were directed to work on this. The team conducted extensive local inquiries, examined CCTV footage, and acted on secret intelligence inputs. The accused Prince Hoon and Praveen Dedha were apprehended from Ghazipur Village while attempting to flee the city. One sophisticated pistol with magazine used in the offence, was recovered from Prince. During interrogation, Prince revealed that Lalit Kumar had been previously banned from the club. The situation escalated after repeated abusive calls and a challenge to meet at Paper Market, which culminated in the assault and shooting. The case is under further investigation.

ACCUSED PROFILE: -

Accused (1) Prince Hoon & (2) Praveen Dedha belongs to middle class back ground and they used to work as bouncer at Club.

RECOVERY: -

One sophisticated pistol with magazine used in the crime.
