The wait for Malan Bridge connecting Kotdwar-Bhabhar area to Motadhak is over

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday virtually inaugurated a total of seven construction works including protective work of Malan Bridge built on Chillarkhal-Pakharo motor road in Kotdwar of Pauri district. Addressing the public virtually, the Chief Minister said that the reconstruction of Malan Bridge is a symbol of the commitment of the state government, under which the infrastructure is being strengthened in the remote areas of the state. With the start of this bridge, Kotdwar and surrounding rural areas will get convenience in transportation and economic activities will also be promoted.

The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the infrastructure related to education, health, drinking water, road, rail and air connectivity is being strengthened in the state. In this sequence, many important schemes are also being worked on for the development of Kotdwar. While on one hand the construction of a state-of-the-art sewerage treatment plant is going on in Kotdwar at a cost of Rs 135 crore under the Namami Gange project, on the other hand, a four-lane bypass and Kotdwar-Najibabad double lane road are also being constructed in Kotdwar at a cost of Rs 691 crore. He said that the Kotdwar-Pauri-Srinagar road is also being upgraded to a double lane now. This will provide convenience to the passengers and give impetus to economic activities.

Chief Minister Dhami said that Kotdwar railway station is being renovated under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. New train service from Siddhbali-Kotdwar to Delhi has also started. Construction of hospital and bus stand terminal is also in progress in Kotdwar. He said that a proposal has been brought in the cabinet for the construction of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Kotdwar and land has been transferred for the school. The government is working with commitment for the welfare of every section.

Assembly Speaker and local MLA Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, who was present in the program, said that development work is being done continuously in Kotdwar with the support of the Chief Minister. The work of the damaged Malan bridge has also been completed rapidly.

On this occasion, Municipal Corporation Kotdwar Mayor Mr. Shailendra Singh Rawat, BJP District President Raj Gaurav Nautiyal District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Chauhan were present.

Protective work of pre-constructed RCC voided slab bridge of 325 meter span on Malan river near Motadhaak on Chillarkhal-Sigaddi-Kotdwar-Pakharo motor road at a cost of 26 crore 75 lakh 95 thousand.

Protective work of Sukhraon bridge of 385 meter span located at 12 km of Chillarkhal-Pakharo motor road at a cost of 4 crore 50 lakh 19 thousand.

Protective work of 300 meter span double lane bridge on Sukhron river near BEL on Kaudiya Motadhak motor road at a cost of 2 crore 10 lakh 40 thousand.

Protective work of 90 meter span Grastganj bridge situated in Khoh river at a cost of 2 crore 36 lakh 87 thousand.

Protective work of 100 meter span Gular bridge situated in Khoh river at a cost of 2 crore 70 lakh 20 thousand.

Protective work of 100 meter span RCC girder bridge on Khoh river at a cost of 4 crore 87 lakh 20 thousand.

Constructed at a cost of 18 crore 25 lakh 35 thousand.

Strengthening work in kilometer 1-12 of Chillarkhal-Sigaddi-Kotdwar-Pakharo motor road.

Announcements of the Chief Minister

1- Strengthening work will be done by DBM and BC on Lalpur-Kalalghati-Nayabad-Old Kotdwar-Haridwar motor road from km 138 of Meerut-Pauri highway of development block Dugadda.

2- Work of laying pipeline in Sigaddi urban drinking water scheme will be done from Kharak Singh's house to Rajni Devi's house in Kotdwar and from Chillar Khal Tiraha to Bahadur Singh's house towards Lokmanipur.

3- Repair and protective work will be done on Malan feeder under Kotdwar area of ??irrigation block Dugadda.

4- Repair and protective work will be done on siphon silt ejector and outlet well of left Malan canal constructed on Malan river in Kotdwar.

5- Flood protection work will be done in village Bishanpur situated on the left bank of Khoh river in Kotdwar under State Disaster Mitigation Fund (S.D.M.F.) area.
