How can you inspire someone to do karma - Pandit Rajesh Agnihotri Bhagwatcharya

Bureau Chief Pavan Paruthi - Gwalior

It is not so easy to inspire or explain someone to do karma that you say and the other person accepts it. It is not possible every time or with everyone that you explain and he understands. Arjun was the best friend of Lord Krishna and also respected Lord Krishna like a Guru Ji and was also like a brother in relation.

Lord Krishna was repeatedly inspiring Arjun to do his karma, that you should fight the war, this is a war for Dharma, your fighting for the establishment of Dharma is your karma. Lord Krishna had to narrate 18 chapters and 700 verses to Arjun, only then Arjun understood. And the same Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta inspires all of us to do karma. There are different types of people in the society. The same formula does not work everywhere. If you want to cut off someone's head, you need a sword. If a thorn has pierced your foot and you want to remove it, you need a needle. If you want to motivate someone to work, you will have to resort to saam, daam, dand, bhed, bhaay, lobh etc. from time to time according to the situation. Saam means equality, respect. For example, if a person is arrogant, you can motivate him to work by giving him respect or honouring him. Daam means money. You can motivate someone to work by giving him money, i.e. by buying him. Dand means punishment. You can motivate someone to work by threatening them, by creating divisions. If a person's strength weakens due to divisions among themselves, you can also motivate him to work by creating divisions. You can motivate him to work by showing fear. For example, if a child is avoiding studies, scare him and tell him that if he does not study, he will fail. If he fails, then the school authorities will expel him and he will not get admission in a good school. Apart from the fact that you will be defamed, the child will again concentrate on his studies, being afraid of all these things. A greedy person should be motivated by offering him greed.

Once a farmer had four sons, but all four were lazy. The farmer had a good crop but the sons did not even go to the farm, let alone working in the fields. The farmer made a plan. He called each of his sons and told them that there was a treasure buried in one corner of the field. He showed them different corners to the four sons, in greed for the treasure, all four sons started digging in the four corners. The whole day passed but the treasure was not found. It rained at night. The farmer told his sons to sow some seeds in the field. With the help of the seeds, the treasure will come up. The sons did the same. After a few days, the seeds germinated and became plants and those plants bore seeds. All the four sons were very happy to see the thriving crop in their fields. They became rich by selling the crop. Since then, all of them started earning a lot of money by farming. There is everything in the world but only the one who is diligent in his work gets it. All the wealth is present in the world, but a man without work cannot get it.
