Delhi Police Welfare Unit and AIIMS, New Delhi, Jointly Organize Blood Donation Camp on World Blood Donor Day 2025

In a commendable initiative, the Welfare Unit of the Delhi Police, in collaboration with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, organized a Blood Donation Camp today at the Staff Lounge, Ground Floor, Police Headquarters, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi, in observance of World Blood Donor Day 2025.

The event was honored by the presence of Shri Atul Katiyar, Special Commissioner of Police, Welfare Unit, who highlighted the significance of voluntary blood donation as a profound act of compassion and community service. ACP/Welfare Shri Ravi Shankar along with women/men officers from the Delhi Police Welfare Unit and police personnel from various units of Delhi Police came together with commendable zeal participated with great enthusiasm in this life-saving endeavor, resulting in the collection of 108 units of blood.

This initiative was aligned with this year’s global theme, "Give Blood, Give Hope: Together We Save Lives," emphasizing the critical role of regular, voluntary, and unpaid blood donations in securing a safe and adequate blood supply for those in need. World Blood Donor Day, celebrated annually on June 14, acknowledges the altruistic contributions of voluntary blood donors, whose generosity saves countless lives and strengthens health care systems globally.

Through this initiative, the Welfare Unit of the Delhi Police steadfastly reaffirmed its commitment to civic duty, community welfare, and humanitarian service. By donating blood, the department not only engaged in a noble cause but also reinforced its dedication to serving the community.
