IPU Signs MoU with International Vaccine Institute, South Korea

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the prestigious International Vaccine Institute (IVI), South Korea.

The MoU was signed by the Registrar of IPU Dr. Kamal Pathak and the Director General of IVI Prof. (Dr.) Jerome H. Kim.

The MoU aims to facilitate discussion and establish a collaborative partnership in the areas of research, training, and tool development related to vaccine studies.

Both institutions will jointly engage in scientific and technical reviews, as well as provide consultancy services in vaccine research and development, leveraging their respective areas of expertise.

Both will also collaborate to identify and pursue funding opportunities, prepare relevant documentation, and align their strategic priorities to enhance the impact of their joint initiatives.

MoU also outlines provisions for joint training programs, internships, and exchange opportunities for faculty, researchers, and students, with a focus on advanced techniques and methodologies in vaccine development.

In addition, the institutions plan to co-organize workshops, seminars, and conferences on various topics related to vaccines, further strengthening knowledge sharing and capacity building in this critical field.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor of the IP University Padma Shri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma stated that this MoU will herald a new chapter in the field of research and development of novel vaccines.

Prof. (Dr.) Jerome Kim from the IVI also affirmed their commitment to fostering a strong and enduring collaborative relationship.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Dean of USBT, key directors, and faculty members from Indraprastha University. Notable attendees included Professor Promila Gupta, Professor A.K. Saini, Professor Nimisha Sharma, Dr. Sudeep Kumar, Dr. Gaurav Pandey, and Professor Vijita Singh Agrawal. 

Representing IVI, distinguished participants included Dr. Sushant Sahastrabuddhe, Associate Director General of Innovation, Initiatives, and Enterprise Development (I2N3), along with Dr. Karl Ljungberg, Dr. Sung Youl Ko, Ms. Yuree Chung, and Ms. Joohyun Chun.
