Chairperson of the National Commission for Women’s sensitivity towards women’s issues is commendable: Vijay Gaur, Chief Organizer

A delegation from the National Teachers’ Day Organizing Committee met with the Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, led by Vijay Gaur.

A delegation from the National Teachers’ Day Organizing Committee, which is organizing a national-level event  In the last week of August 2025 in the capital Delhi, met with the Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, Ms. Vijaya Kishor Rahatkar, under the leadership of Sh. Vijay Gaur, President of the Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti.

Sh. Vijay Gaur openly praised the Chairperson’s sensitivity toward women’s issues. He described the efforts of the national public hearings as a cornerstone and credited the Commission with taking a constructive direction. He informed Chairperson Ms. Vijaya Kishor Rahatkar that under the visionary leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, and the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, the Delhi Police is committed to launching a war against narcotics and implementing a zero-tolerance policy against drug-related crimes. The Delhi Police is determined to eradicate drug trafficking from the root and ensure a safe and healthy society.

Inspired by this campaign, a grand National Teachers’ Day celebration will be organized in the last week of August2025  at the national level, in collaboration with 7 leading universities, 40 colleges, and renowned government and non-government institutions. The event will focus on the prevention of violence against women and the elimination of drug abuse. As part of the event, a national-level seminar, a street play competition by students, and a research paper presentation competition will be held.

During this courtesy meeting, the organizing committee, represented jointly by the National Service Scheme (NSS), Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU), New Delhi, and the Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti , extended a formal invitation to Ms. Vijaya Kishor Rahatkar and invited the National Commission for Women to be the principal partner of the event.

The delegation included Sh. Vijay Gaur (President,Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti , Dr. Parul Sharma (NSS Program Officer, DPSRU), Dr. Jitender Munjal (NSS Program Coordinator, DPSRU), Dr. Sayan Chatterjee (Program Officer, NSS, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University), Advocate Ritu Dubey (Nyay Bodh Foundation), Ms. Kamlesh Sharma and Dr. Neerja Chaturvedi from the Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti and NSS volunteers from DPSRU – Priya Sharma, Jaspreeya, and Divyanshi. The meeting concluded in a positive atmosphere.
