With the aim of maintaining law and order in the district and cracking down on habitual criminals, Gwalior Police conducted a comprehensive combing patrol campaign on the night of 27-28 April. On the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police Dharamveer Singh, 278 warrants were arrested in various police station areas of the city and countryside in this patrol, including 158 permanent and 120 arrest warrants. Along with this, checking of 413 goons and history-sheeters was also done.

During the patrol, one reward accused each was arrested in Jhansi Road and Chinaur police stations. Cases were registered in police stations Bahodapur, Maharajpura, Old Cantonment and Belgadha in the case of illegal liquor. Apart from this, action was also taken in three other cases.

Gwalior police officers conducted foot patrolling as well as checking of vehicles and two-wheelers against criminals and suspects. This campaign created panic among the criminals in the district. The Senior Superintendent of Police reached the spot during patrolling and gave strict instructions to the police officers that if any accused is found involved in criminal activities, strict action will be taken against him.
