Grand event of Hit Dagdiya program concluded in Delhi

A cordial program was successfully concluded on the occasion of the grand event of 'Hit Dagdiya' by Mahanagar Delhi Uttarakhand Pravasi Sangathan (MDUPS) on Sunday, 27 April 2025. The event was organized from 10 am in the conference hall located at Pratap Nagar, Hari Nagar, West Delhi.

General Secretary of the organization Mr. Mukesh Khantwal and President Kamal Dhyani told the media that the objective of the program is to unite the Uttarakhand migrant society and promote social cooperation while preserving their cultural heritage and we will keep organizing many more programs from time to time through our organization. The chief guest of the program, Mr. Mohan Singh Bisht MLA and Deputy Speaker Delhi Legislative Assembly, in his address said that the Uttarakhand society will have to move forward with the tagline of the organization "Ek Mooth, Ek Jute", only then the Uttarakhandi society will get its full representation in Delhi and then we will not be called Uttarakhandi migrants. In the program, Mr. R.K. Kotanala (Former Chairman, National Testing and Calibration Laboratory Accreditation Board - NABL) and Mr. Mohan Singh Bisht (Deputy Speaker, Delhi Legislative Assembly) were present as the chief guests.

Several dignitaries including Mr. Harikrishna Dhoundiyal (President, West District, Uttarakhand Spokesperson), Mr. Shyam Sharma (MLA, Hari Nagar Legislative Assembly), Mr. Girish Baluni (Patron), Mr. Narendra Manral (Uttarakhand Spokesperson Convenor, Delhi State) and Dr. Villendra Arya (Vice President Co-Convenor, Uttarakhand Spokesperson, Delhi State) were present as special guests.

The program started with lighting of lamps, after which cultural programs were presented. During the welcome speech and presidential address, the office bearers of the organization expressed their views. After this, information was given about the activities and future plans of the organization. In the program, the promotion of Uttarakhand's Garhwali film "Kholi Ka Ganesh" was also done in which the entire star cast of the film was present. The program concluded with lunch, in which all the guests participated.

The Metropolitan Delhi Uttarakhand Migrant Organization tried to strengthen the unity and social participation of the natives of Uttarakhand through this event. The organization also reiterated its resolve to contribute in the field of education, construction of hostels for native children and establishment of Sahayog Bhawan for economic security.

All the members including Mr. Kamal Dhyani (Founder and President), Mr. Harshpal Singh Manral (Pradhan), Mr. Girish Badola (Patron), Mr. Mukesh Khantwal (General Secretary), Mr. Birinder Panwar (Secretary), Mrs. Lakshmi Negi (Joint Secretary), Mr. Harendra Rawat (Treasurer) had a special contribution in the successful organization of the program.

On this occasion, the Metropolitan Delhi Uttarakhand Migrant Organization expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the people of Uttarakhand, who increased the dignity of the program with their presence.
